Brian shows you that just answering the lawsuit is not enough. Don't do your own collection lawsuit defense without using the most important document you can use to win these lawsuits:  The Counter Affidavit. The Counter Affidavit attacks the collection lawsuit, word for word, and points out the deficiency in the lawsuit and their debt buyer's improper use of evidence or the law. Sometimes you can win the collection lawsuit with a simple review of the account stated law that most attorneys don't review when filing thousands of the same, cookie cutter collection lawsuits with false information. Brian shows you how to analyze a call and case, right from the start and that the 15-30 minutes you spend with the client creates a great defense and counterclaim using the debt collector's own paperwork against them. Brian uses an actual case with show notes and pleadings attached in Podcast+ that show you how to break down a case and create a winning counterclaim to eliminate the debt. This initial discussion with your client also helps create the all-important, Counter Affidavit. At the end of your initial discussion, take an extra five minutes to get to know the client. That short amount of time to connect at the end can result in a winning case and the trust and respect for a strong attorney/client/friend bond. Good luck and go get'em.
