In this episode we dive into the underlying causes for why there has been a new resurgence in AAPI hate. As of late, we have seen multiple victims from shootings, assaults an robberies that can be classified as racially motivated crime. What many people don't think of when talking about this issue however is the fact that national and international political relations have a big hand to play in this. America seems to have taken an anti-China stance, and one of it's after effects is xenophobia against all Asian Americans and Pacific Islander communities. Tune in as we discuss the implications of these events.
This week, we tackle the deeper question of whether or not idealism has a place within our governments. Is it better to be realistic? Is it not wise to seek out seemingly unachievable goals simply due to noble intention? Find out what we think about all of that and more!
Hey guys! After a three week hiatus, we have finally come back with more content. In this episode we discuss any inherent problems within the schooling system, and how it may dissuade people from pursuing any higher level subjects. Not only that, but teachers in the schooling system today are undervalued. Many such issues plague the system, and people today are generally uninterested in learning after they are done going through institutions like high school and college. This should not be the state of education in today's day and age, but it is and we're here to break down why.
This is our first episode of 2021, and we wish it was about something that wasn't so dark and gloomy. However, the events of the past week have lead us to make this episode discussing the pre-existing issues in America that lead up to this act of domestic terror such as the lack of proper civic education and curriculum in the United States. We hope you can take something meaningful away from this episode, and we want to know what you think about the problems that we discussed.
This week, we discuss the astronomical events that have, and will be taking place. Everything from the Aurora to the Jupiter-Saturn Convergence, we discuss it all. In addition, we talk about advances made in space exploration with the recent Space-X Starship SN-8 test, and it's ingenious belly flop maneuver. Of course, it wouldn't be a Debunk'd episode if we didn't have some level of politics in the episode, so we very briefly go over the COVID-19 vaccine among other things. Stick around to hear our thoughts on all these matters, and be sure to check out our other episodes!
This week we take on the idea of scalping when it comes to the reselling of goods on the internet, its effect on the economy, and the different aspects that perpetuate this phenomenon. Whether it be ticket resales or the new PS5, scalping has become more prevalent over the years, and people are starting to call for legislation against the practice. We're here to break down everything for you!
In this episode, we have Rohit giving his review on one of his most anticipated releases of this year-- The PS5. As a true, passionate gamer, he gives his opinion on the console after spending some hours on it playing Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Astrobot's Playroom. Tune in to hear what he has to say about it!
In this brief episode, we talk about everything that has happened in the realm of politics-- especially the influx of Trump's tweets regarding the election and the unprecedented surge of COVID-19 cases in the US. Tune in to hear what we have to say!
