The year is 1925. We're talking about (mostly) good things. Puppies are saving children and getting the statutes they deserve. Dr. Alice Hamilton writes the first occupational toxicology textbook in the United States (about time). Even Al Capone is giving away turkeys.

All of this, plus the year's top 5 movies (spoiler - Lon Chaney is donning creepy makeup again) and music.

Welcome to 1923!

We're talking the final straw that broke Hollywood and prompted the Hays Code, the Berkeley fire, and the persistent proposals of King George VI that led to a very fancy wedding.

All of this, plus the year's top 5 songs and top 5 silent films.

The Decade Dames are back to discuss the forgotten events of 1922. You know, like that unbelievable time when people were blatantly dumping barrels of oil off of docks, or the much better time when insulin was invented, or the much creepier time when William Desmond Taylor was murdered.

All of this, plus 1922's top movies and music!

In 1921, the United States saw the discovery of leaded gasoline that dominated our vehicles for the better part of the century, challenges to medicinal beer, and one of Holllywood's first and most depraved scandals. It was a rough year, but hey, at least the flappers were still having fun.
