Another week plus one day, another podcast. Late again, this time due to interstate travel and birthday recuperation, we can nevertheless assure you that this episode is much more on point than the dross we uploaded last week. It's a vaguely happy one, too, like we've turned a corner. Well, maybe not. This episode's mistakes include:

• Persistent bird chirping in the background due to daytime recording.

Back in the swing of things.

We've definitely plateaued, because somehow our audio quality was rough this week. Very quiet. We've tried to fix it after the fact but it's all just a bit fuzzy. Luckily it's hard to be that disappointed with it since you'll be too disappointed in the uninteresting and dull content. Apparently Michael shouldn't drink tea during the podcast. This episode's mistakes include:

• Fuzziness as the lesser of two audio evils, the alternative being high background whirr from correcting low recording levels. So yeah, we know, you'll have to turn up the volume a lot. Sorry.

We promise to fall off the wagon next week.

And our apologies to you for being late this week. We know that the relationship between podcaster and podcastee is a sacred bond, and feel nothing but the deepest regret for letting you down. Still, it's an upbeat happy episode to counteract what some called "too depressing" last week. So, our apologies for that as well. This episode's mistakes include:

• A general sense of guilt about our tardiness that permeates the entire discussion.

We're back to our old tricks this week: depressing topics. Yes, it's an overly long, noticeably less focussed episode, even by our standards. What do you want to find out at the pearly gates? Expect many distractions and diversions. This episode's mistakes include:

• The encore performance of the famous mic wobble.

That said, these are the only mistakes we ever could have made.

Good day, ladies and sirs, and welcome to episode seven. We have now decided to credit our guests in text form as well as on the show itself, so without further ado we disclose that our good friend Austin joined us this week. There. Acknowledged. The topic at hand was virtual reality, but as is par for the course we approached it in a muddled and confusing fashion. This episode's mistakes include:

• The much anticipated return of audio quality issues! We've peaked, guys. It's back down the hill from here, mostly due to microphone wobbling, table bumps and constantly changing distances from each of the three speakers.

Try to imagine it.

I don't want to rub it in but we almost know what we're doing now. You should feel intimidated by our professionalism. But that's not really in the spirit of this podcast, which is all about being less offensive and more positive. (With questionable success.) We'll leave that up to you to judge. This episode's mistakes include:

• The gentle clinking of whiskey on the rocks.

Episode five already!? Man, it feels like just five weeks ago that we were doing episode one. In the first episode released since we officially launched, we gently plateau as we stop trying and ride it out into retirement. Many thanks to everyone that checked out our stuff this week. That was nice. Anyway, this episode's mistakes include:

• Audible leather couch squeaks and microphone bumps return for flavour. Other than that, we've managed to hold onto a decent audio quality now, even with the inclusion of a third guest. Man we're good. And woman. (Equality.) 

We'll take what we can get.

Wow. I don't want to overhype this one but it's great and everyone should agree. We found a good topic and our sound is the best it's ever been. I even moved the computer further away so that you can't hear whirring. And you really can't, for quite a while. Boy, we're good. This episode's mistakes include:

• Inability to allow moments of professionalism to go by unnoticed, resulting in rampant unprofessionalism.

Don't let that dissuade you though. Listening to this may almost feel worthwhile.

Well. Let's just call it a learning experience. Pilot episode number three sees us attempt to improve on last week, with little success. Blame the old laptop. I think we got the levels of our voices balanced correctly, so at least that's something. This episode's mistakes include:

• Average audio quality. The persistent whirr is really, as pretentious TV writers like to claim, another character of the show.

At this point it's starting to become a habit.
