The basic idea is this: The ability to give something focused concentration is a skill.

That skill is being whittled away by our focus on “shallow” activities, like social media.

We need to rebuild the ability to give things sustained focus by blocking out time to do it.

To block out that time, identify the main things you want to accomplish.

Identify the main activities that will help you accomplish that.

Eliminate the rest.
