Part3. (My Vineyard) In this part we move into Isaiah chapter 5 verses 1-7. Jesus’ words in the gospel of Mark chapter 12 and the first 11 verses are almost word for word what Isaiah said of Israel (the Vineyard of the Lord) being neglectful of it’s self and wandered away from God.

Part2. (My Vineyard) In the last episode we looked at how the “vineyard” does not exclusively refer to one aspect of truth regarding the human heart. (John 15:1-4) It also applies to the Nation of Israel, we look at two behavioural aspects of Israel even in our days … the conversant Jew and the observant Jew. This too is mirrored in the Christian Church today.

(My Vineyard) This episode is an introduction to a new subject which is found in Isaiah 5:1-7 the vineyard which God planted … Israel … we take up this theme by first looking into the book of the Song of Solomon where we are introduced the the Shulamite woman who is the beloved of Solomon. She has neglected her own “vineyard” (the wellbeing of her heart, soul and communion with God) due to unreasonable human demands.

Part12. (The Church) In this last episode we are looking at the “Determined Church”  the Church should be militant and defiant over many things especially darkness that undermines the wellbeing of mankind. In the Book of the Revelation, chapter 19 and verse 6 - 8, John describes the Church after going through the “time of darkness” we see the Bride of Christ cleansed and perfect.

The Church lives in alien territory, in an ever darkening world believers are to be light and salt. Jesus said the Church I build will reflect Me, because He is the Life of the Church. Even when Christians are harassed and persecuted they can live in the power of the Spirit of God with joy and victory.

Tony talks with a friend of many years, Peter Kraus. Peter has a remarkable story about he and his father, mother and baby brother, how they through a series of amazing events were spared from the gas chambers of the concentration camp of Auschwitz, just before the closing months of WW2.

Acts chapter 8 records one of the most astounding miracles of the gospel. The early Church under pressure and persecution was scattered and thus went into all the world fulfilling the “Great Commission”. Philip going into Samaria preached the Gospel accompanied by signs and wonders, many were saved, and so gentiles came into the church of Christ which was established in Samaria.
