It is no doubt that, for many of us, transition from the university to the working environment is not easy. So, we wanted to get some tips from our friend-slash-senior Arief here who, at face value, seemed to have had a smooth move into the work life. Not only did he secure a job in a top tech company directly upon graduation, he was then accepted in another equally top one 5 years later! However, as he uncovers it in this episode, we did not expect him to have had quite an internal struggle in both his transition and the beginnings of his career. Even so, instead of dwelling in these struggles, we think he truly embodied the famous phrase: "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade". 

Arief starts by telling us how he faced the moments before and during the first few years of career, before enlightening us with some tips which are equally important to those who are about to enter and who are already in the labour force. He then left us with a story about a bizarre question: "are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?", which actually translates into a deeper meaning.

We believe that it's always good to reflect on and draw lessons from our past encounters in life, perhaps some useful tips that you could hypothetically tell your past self and also remind your future self of.

In this more casual episode, we caught up with Azizah, a dear, supportive friend of ours. She shared with us one or two advice that she would tell her younger self 5 years ago based on her experience, which also made both of us contemplate on similar experiences that we've went through as well.

Some of us are less confident than others, and this is often a consequence of being insecure about certain aspects of ourselves. 

In this episode, we discuss about our thoughts on the topic of insecurity, why they arise, and how we've tried to deal with them. Nadhira joins Jess as she takes an emotional trip down memory lane and reflects on her childhood experience, realising how overcoming certain insecurities may not be as easy as others, but that we owe it to ourselves to continue trying for the sake of our well-being.

In our first ever episode (yay!) we talk about our take on the comparison game; how we may compare ourselves to others around us sometimes, and how it can either have a negative or a positive effect to our state of mental well being, depending on the way we perceive and react to these comparisons that we make.
