Hello DDT fans! This week Naomi leads us down an ethical conversation. Should parents create a baby for the purpose of saving an older sibling? Macie discloses the name of her hypothetical spare parts sibling. And then we dive into the topic of lying. Everybody does it, but when does it cross the line into pathological levels? Thank you for listening and supporting our independent, little oddcast.

Naomi discusses the 1995 sarin gas attack in the Tokyo subways. 13 people were killed and over 6000 injured in an event orchestrated by the Aum Shinrikyo cult.

Happy 80th episode to us! This week Naomi jumps into the unsolved disappearance of the five Frog Boys of South Korea. The statute of limitations was extended so any new information could re-open this investigation. Then Macie shines a light on the Salem witch trials and the very unscientific "spectral evidence" used against individuals. And Naomi overshares...again. Thank you for listening to our DIY, independent podcast!
Episode 78: In this week's episode Macie and Naomi head back to the future faster than you can say 'flux capacitor." We discuss the science behind time travel as it relates to some popular movies such as Terminator. BTW we love science! We also dive into the death of 18 year old Conrad Roy who died by suicide. Welcome to Deeply Disturbing Things!
This is actually episode 70- to be listened to directly after Episode 69. Episode 69 brought up some real feels for Macie and Naomi. They discuss how the stigma of talking about sex actually hit them personally and as friends after live recording the last episode. We want to speak our truth and we discovered how hard it can really be when it hits home. Thank you all for letting us be brave and vulnerable with you all.
Topics: Naomi shares a topic that revived her passion for presenting this week. Elizabeth had been held captive for 24 years by her father, Josef Fritzl (born 9 April 1935). Fritzl had assaulted, sexually abused, and raped her numerous times during her imprisonment inside a concealed area in the basement of the family home. Macie's topic this week is about corporal punishment with children and the varied mental health implications.
Welcome to Deeply Disturbing Things!
The long-awaited episode from over two months ago!!
Naomi explores superstitions this week (are you superstitious?). Then, Macie and Naomi both get real explicit talking about female pleasure, or sometimes lack of any pleasure. Welcome to some real talk and some clickbait. We talk from two honest female perspectives about our experiences and compare them with some stats of other women. Maybe you should listen.
Until next time...
