With the Leafs dropping games in Calgary and Vancouver before winning over the expansion Kraken in Seattle on Monday, it's clear that the Maple Leafs will need to acquire a shutdown defenceman for the stretch drive. Since Jake Muzzin's return from injury, the Justin Holl, Jake Muzzin tandem has continued to struggle to be a viable unit for the Leafs blueline, so James and Jonas look at viable options on the trade market including Scott Mayfield, Mark Pysyk, Justin Braun, Josh Manson and Ben Chiarot.
