John 1:19-23

Welcome to "Fellows in a ship." I can hardly believe that this is the 40th talk I have sent out since the ones on Heaven prompted by the death of Dave Ayling and the closing down of home groups in 2020. Now that all restrictions on churches have been lifted this will be the last in this format.

Thank you for joining the group and listening to some of the talks. My sole aim has been to help listeners understand a few aspects of the Bible better.

I will not send out any talks in August.

In September I am planning on teaching the life of Jeremiah in our Life Group. The style will inevitably be different because a talk (really a lecture) to a WA audience is different from speaking to and discussing with friends in a home. So, nearer the time I will set up a new WA group for anyone who would like to explore with us, Jeremiah's life.

Hallo from a sunny Weymouth. I hope you enjoy this talk on Psalm 73 "Fed up, look up, cheer up."

If I were recording it again I would close not with the little known John Newton hymn I have used but with

"Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Look full in his wonderful face

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of his glory and grace."

That old chorus sums up Psalm 73 much better.
