There is the usual array of slips of the tongue but one needs correcting. I misquote Proverbs 14 v 31 which should say, "He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honours God."

Ascension Day, the much neglected day when we remember our Lord's last day on earth 40 days on from the resurrection.

Where is Jesus now? Revelation 4 and 5 give us a glimpse. I have tried to explain these chapters as if John were telling his experience in story form. I hope it works.

Here with "3 new attitudes." Our Lord in Matthew chapter 5 sets out to recalibrate ourp attitudes to God, His law, and now in verses 33-48 to truthfulness, vengefulness and love. It does not make for easy listening.

On Thursday I hope to send a second talk on the much neglected subject of Ascension Day.
