  • Daily Counsel; LUKE - 15 Teachings of Luke
    LUKE
    READ: Luke 7:11-16
Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very  first, to write unto thee…
    Luke 1:1,3
Luke blessed our lives so much with his unique teachings. He contributed greatly to the ministry of our Lord Jesus by doing a little bit more in addition to what Matthew, Mark and John had done. Here are at least fifteen teachings that Matthew, Mark and John completely left out.
    1. Luke gave us the story of the Good Samaritan: Luke 10:30-37.
    2. Luke gave us the teaching on Importunity: Luke 11:5-8.
    3. Luke gave us the story of the Rich Fool: Luke 12:16-21.
    4. Luke gave us the teaching on the fig tree in the vineyard: Luke 13:6-9
    5. Luke gave us the teaching on seating of the wedding guests: Luke 14:7-11.
    6. Luke gave us the story of the cost of building a tower: Luke 14:28-30. 7. Luke gave us the story of the cost of going to war: Luke 14:31.
    8. Luke gave us the teaching on the lost sheep: Luke 15:4-6.
    9. Luke gave us the teaching on the lost coin: Luke 15:8-9.
    10. Luke gave us the teaching on the prodigal son: Luke 15:11-32.
    11. Luke gave us the teaching on the story of the unjust servant: Luke 16:1-9.
    12. Luke gave us the story of the rich man and Lazarus: Luke 16:19-31.
    13. Luke gave us the teaching that the reward for hard work is more work: Luke 17:7-10.
    14. Luke gave us the teaching on the shameless widow: Luke 18:2-5. 15. Luke gave us the story on the proud prayer: Luke 18:10-14

    READ: 2 Kings 5:1-16
And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman’s wife. And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! For he would recover him of his leprosy.
    2 Kings 5:2-3
There are people who are doing great things and whom God is using. You may not have heard of them. In the days of Naaman the Syrian, there was a great prophet called Elisha. Naaman had not heard of Elisha. Naaman did not know that his life would change when he came in contact with Elisha.
When you have not encountered certain ministries, you would not know what God will do for you through them. The loudest ministries are found on television but they may not be the greatest. There are ministries that you must discover. Be open to new men of God. They are part of God’s plan for your life.
Be open to travel to meet men of God whom you have heard of. Even though Paul had had a real revelation of Jesus Christ, he travelled to Jerusalem to see Apostle Peter (Galatians 1:18). Paul had heard of Peter but he had not had a chance to have a deep interaction with him. If you do not travel, you will never meet certain men of God.
Travelling to Korea was one of the most important things I ever did; it opened me up to David Yonggi Cho, who was the pastor of the largest church in the world at the time. That trip opened the door for me to fellowship with God’s great servant. It also opened many doors of ministry for me. People who do not get up and go will never see certain things in their lives and ministry.

  • Destined to Reign by Elikplim Zoe
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. By always hearing the word of promise of God through His word our lives are fashioned to be as though they were Rom 4:17 ... God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. The word is life and through the word we reign . Rom 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.). • Daily Counsel;THESE SIGNS…
    THESE SIGNS…
    READ: Mark 16:15-20
…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe…
    Mark 16:15-17
The Great Commission is a commission with signs following. Jesus said, “These signs shall follow [you]!” Expect these signs to follow you throughout your ministry.
Expect to speak with new tongues: Supernatural tongues will flow out of every great commissioner. Hours and hours of tongues must pour out of you. Tongues are a supernatural form of communication between you and Heaven. Just as secret service personnel have radios for their secret and mysterious communication, you have been given tongues for your secret and mystical communication with Heaven.
Expect to cast out devils: Demon spirits have occupied the masses. When you encounter a human being, you can assume you are encountering a demon power behind the person. We are dealing with demon spirits all the time.
Expect to survive the eating of poisonous and unhealthy things: Many of the things we eat today are not healthy. Because you are a gospel commissioner, you will not be harmed by anything that you eat or drink. Others may die from it, but you will survive!
Expect to survive life-threatening and dangerous activities like taking up serpents: Others may die from it but you will not die. What kills others will not kill you because you are a great commissioner.
Expect to lay hands on the sick and expect the sick to recover: You become a powerful vessel of healing when you are a great commissioner. Do not underestimate your prayers. Your prayers will make people well. Your prayers will bring miracles to many people.

  • Daily Counsel: BE UPRIGHT.
    BE UPRIGHT
    READ: 1 Corinthians 1:26-30
Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
    Psalms 140:13
You can continually stay in the presence of God by being upright. Your righteousness guarantees you the experience of the presence of God. As human beings, we do not stay in the presence of people who hate us, dislike us, or gossip about us. God also does not stay in the presence of people who hate Him, who disobey Him and who fight Him constantly.
The presence of God is for those who are in tune with God and who like Him very much. When you live an upright life, God has respect for you and He will dwell with you.
Sin brings a big separation between you and God (Isaiah 59:1-2). That is why the presence of God goes away from you when you sin. Indeed, it is the upright who enjoy the presence of God. Most of our sins have to do with pride or the flesh. It is important that you humble yourself before God if you want to experience the presence of God. Flesh and pride cannot be exalted in the presence of God. No flesh can glory in His presence. You must get rid of the sins of flesh and the sins of pride if you want to experience the presence of God. Many people have lost the presence of God because of sins of the flesh and sins of pride.
The presence of God is quite easy to detect when you know what it is like. Get tuned into the Spirit and start noticing people who still have the presence of God with them

  • Daily Counsel: PREACHING MESSAGES. Bishop Dag Heward Mills
    PREACHING MESSAGES
    READ: Galatians 3:1-11
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
    Romans 10:17
A great change will come into your life if you listen to a lot of preaching. This is because faith comes by hearing. After I was born again, the greatest upward change in my life came from listening to preaching tapes of Kenneth Hagin.
I once visited a church that I had not been to for eight years. I was amazed by the transformation in the church. They were alive! They were vibrant! They were mature! They were eager! They were flowing! They had grown! They were givers! It was amazing! Then I realized that the church had been listening to the podcast of my preaching. They had been soaking in the Word of God and listening to sermon after sermon.
The best thing you can do for yourself is to make yourself an addict of preaching messages. Faith comes by hearing. You will become a man of faith, a man of great beliefs. Learn how to listen to the same message over and over again. The more you hear the same thing, the more it soaks in deeper. The deeper it soaks into your spirit, the more it produces a change in your life. Perhaps, this is the single most radical life-changing habit I can recommend to you.
Listening to preaching is like going to the university. Universities change people’s lives. By the time people qualify from the university, they are changed into lawyers, doctors, engineers, pharmacists, etc. When you listen to preaching, it is like having university lectures at home, in your car, on the move, in bed and in the gym. Expect the most major transformations as you soak in preaching messages!

  • DAILY COUNSEL: BISHOP DAG HEWARD MILLS ; GOOD MARRIAGES
    GOOD MARRIAGES
    GOOD MARRIAGES
    READ: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
    Proverbs 18:22
It is a blessing to have a good marriage and I am aware of many great and good marriages that are marvellous blessings. What are some of the blessings of a great marriage?
A good marriage is a blessing because two are better than one: Ecclesiastes 4:9- 12.
A good marriage is a blessing because a married couple can do ten times as much as a single person: Deuteronomy 32:30. A good marriage is a blessing because a married man has great favour with God: Proverbs 18:22.
However, there are many different types of marriages. Not all marriages end up achieving the aim of being a blessing to the couple. “Counterfeit” marriages only exist because there are real and good marriages.
But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless SUCH SHALL HAVE TROUBLE in the flesh: but I spare you.
    1 Corinthians 7:28
Paul prophesied that those who marry would have trouble in the flesh. Perhaps that is why he did not marry. For example, through Eve, Adam’s life and ministry were destroyed. Through Eve, the whole human race has been sent into darkness and difficulty
Some people have excellent marriages. For some people, marriage is the greatest comfort they will ever have and for others, marriage is the greatest cross they will ever bear. May the arms of those who are deeply embedded in difficult, irreversible marriage situations be strengthened! Use the knowledge, the understanding and the wisdom that you receive from the word of God to fight the good fight of faith. Marriage is one of the tests we face and we must succeed in it!

  • DAILY COUNSEL; FAITH LIFE, Bishop Dag Heward Mills
    FAITH LIFE
    Hebrews 10:38-39
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY HIS FAITH.
    Habakkuk 2:4
All through the Scriptures it is clear that the life you live is the real revelation of your faith level. A person who throws himself into full-time business and occasionally gives an offering is at a certain level of faith. Another person who throws himself into full-time business and regularly pays tithes reveals yet a higher level of faith.
Faith is your life! The life you live is the faith you have! If you live your life out as a missionary in a foreign country, it is because of the faith you have. You believe that eternity will reward you far more than any temporary rewards on this earth.
If you live a life of doing earthly politics it is because of your faith in politics and human achievements. If you live your life out as a businessman, it is because of your faith in money and earthly achievements. Your life reveals your faith. Your life is an expression of your beliefs!
What you do with your life reveals what you really believe in. If you continue to quarrel and harbour grudges, it is because of your beliefs in the way to rectify things. Your ability to forgive and leave things to God reveals how much you believe in God and His Word. Your whole life is an expression of your faith in God. If you live your life singing secular music to secular audiences it is because of your beliefs.
Your life is your faith! Your faith is your life! As Apostle Paul said, “The life I now live, I live by the faith of the Son of God” (Galatians 2:20).

  • Daily Counsel ; CHANGE & RESPECT: Bishop Dag Heward Mills
    CHANGE & RESPECT
    READ: Hebrews 12:5-13
Furthermore we have had fathers of our  flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
    Hebrews 12:8-9
Obedience and a change of lifestyle is a great sign of respect. When you change your behaviour and begin to do something differently just because someone told you so, it is a sign that you respect the person greatly. Sometimes when a married couple are having intractable problems that they cannot resolve, a more senior and respected person is brought in to see if his words will make a difference. Because the couple respects the senior person, they listen and change their ways.
Respect and honour are always a reason for change. Sometimes, the instruction does not make sense but honour and respect will make people obey.
For years, I advised people against taking loans and getting into debt. Most of the people I spoke to did not respect me. They simply went right ahead and took all the loans they felt they should take. Apart from them having their own opinion about debt (which I respect) there is an element of disregard when someone totally ignores all you say.
Every preacher has people who do not respect him. A lot of people do not respect Jesus Christ. What Jesus has taught us about eternity does not matter to them. You will be judged for what you dishonour!
God asked the children of Israel to keep His Sabbaths as a sign of respect to Him. God saw the keeping of the Sabbath as respect. He said, “…keep my Sabbaths and reverence me” (Leviticus 19:30). Whenever you change your behaviour, change your life, change something you do, you show your respect to the one who spoke to you. Failure to obey is failure to honour!
