    FIGHTING SERVANTS
    READ: Jeremiah 37:11-21
For, when we were come into Macedonia, our  flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were  fightings, within were fears.
    2 Corinthians 7:5
There are many Christians who have developed through the stages of babyhood, childhood and maturity but have never become servants of God. After you are born again, you must grow until you become a servant of God; you must graduate from babyhood, childhood and maturity into servanthood. I have encountered Christians who have love, patience, peace and gentleness. These wonderful qualities are fruits of maturity and results of being dominated by the Spirit. However, many of these people never graduated further to become servants of God.
It is nice for you to be patient, loving, peaceful and gentle. God is calling you to go one step higher and become a servant of God. When you become a servant of God you have to fight for God’s kingdom. When you fight for God’s work you may not look and sound so peaceful any longer.
Read your history! Learn about the servants of God. What a fight Moses had! What a fight Joshua had! What a fight Jeremiah had! Do you think Jeremiah had a peaceful life when he was thrown into prison for God’s sake? What about Jesus Christ? What about the apostles, the martyrs, the reformers and the missionaries? Do you think they floated around in life on a cloud of peace, love, joy, gentleness and goodness? Fighting is the life of a servant of God! To be a servant of God you may have to contend with earth or Hell or both. It is time to grow up out of this so-called mature peaceful Christianity and become a servant of God who fights for the souls of men.

  • DAILY COUNSEL _ EXTRA MILE... BISHOP DAG HEWARD MILLS
    READ: Philippians 3:12-20
“Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.” – Colossians 1:29
Our generation of ministers has the Laodecian spirit of complacency. That spirit speaks today and says, “I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing.” God says, you don’t know that you are “wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.” He continues to say, “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.” (Revelation 3:17-18).
You do need something! You are not really rich and you are not really as stable and as safe as you think.
Until you are in your grave, there will always be a little bit more that you can do for God. Can’t you win a few more souls even though you have won many souls for the Lord already? Can’t you plant another church? Can’t you hold more crusades and campaigns and conferences for Jesus? Can’t you build another church? Can’t you give a little bit more? Can’t you write one more book? Instead of resting now why don’t you rest in peace later?
Dear friend, don’t deceive yourself ! You can do a little bit more! Most people are not doing as much as they could. A little bit more prayer and a little bit more effort will make a big difference. Why don’t you give a little bit more time to the study of the Word and to achieving of your spiritual goals?
Jesus spoke about going the extra mile. If you would add a few more yards you may achieve the goal of going at least one mile for Jesus.

    TWO PROMISES
    16th February, 2022
    READ: John 14:7-14
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, THAT WILL I DO, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
    John 14:13-14
Today, we will look at two big promises of prayer in the Book of John. Each one of them is a little different and throws some light on the prayer life of a Christian. You must learn to quote God’s Word back to Him. They are the only legal basis you have for praying to God.
First, there is the prayer promise that it will be done! What you ask is what will be done by Jesus. These are the words of Jesus. He will do certain things when you ask in His name. What do you need to be done? What has to be done? Is there anything that needs urgent attention? God will take care of it. God will do what you ask.
Second, there is the prayer promise for those who abide in Him.
IF YE ABIDE IN ME, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
    John 15:7
If you have been a Christian for at least three years, I am sure that this scripture can work for you. Why is that? If you have been a Christian for three years it means you have been abiding in Christ for three years.
If you know the Bible relatively well and you understand it, then His Word is abiding in you. If you fulfil these two conditions you can ask for anything you want and it will be done for you. Believe in this great prayer promise. This is one of the greatest verses in the Bible. You ask what you will and it will be done unto you!

    LAW OF MOSES & CURSES
    READ: Leviticus 11:1-12
They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their  flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
    Leviticus 11:11
Why does the Bible say there will be no more curse in Heaven if all curses have been redeemed by Jesus? Not all curses have been redeemed and removed by Jesus Christ. Here on earth, the wickedness of man has brought about many intractable curses. Heaven is the sure place where there will be no more curse.
Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the law that came under Moses. The curses that are found in the Law of Moses have been paid for and we are set free from them. Therefore, if you go against the things written in the Law of Moses you will not experience a curse. The Law of Moses is very strong against eating pork. In spite of this law, many Christians eat pork and are blessed as they eat it because they have been redeemed from the curse of the law.
Another law which millions of Christians break is the law on the type of fabric to wear. You are not under a curse because you wear clothes that are a mixture of fabrics. Most clothes today are made up of a mixture of fabrics. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of disobeying that law: Deuteronomy 22:11.
Yet another law which people disobey, is women wearing clothes that pertain to men and men wearing clothes that pertain to women: Deuteronomy 22:5. Women wear trousers that are originally designed for men whilst men in some cultures wear long shirts that look like dresses. Under the Law, you would be an abomination to God and most definitely experience a curse. Christ has redeemed us and paid the price for disobeying that Law.

  • DAILY COUNSEL BY BISHOP DAG HEWARD_ THE PRICE
    THE PRICE
    9th February, 2022
    READ: Matthew 27:1-10
And I said unto them, if ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So THEY WEIGHED FOR MY PRICE THIRTY PIECES OF SILVER.
    Zechariah 11:12
The scripture is full of examples that use silver as a symbol of redemption. Silver speaks of salvation and redemption. Where Christians preach about salvation and redemption, the presence of God is felt. You will not feel the presence of God when you hear preaching on entrepreneurship, free enterprise and gross domestic products. The presence of God comes where redemption and salvation are prominent.
The prophet prophesied of Jesus being sold for thirty pieces of silver. His life was given for thirty pieces of silver. Prophetically, silver speaks of redemption. Silver was used to pay for Jesus’ life. In other words, silver was used to pay for all our lives. Silver is the prophetic price of redemption.
Silver was the price for Jesus to save our lives and redeem us. Salvation is the most important subject in the world today. God sent Jesus to be the Saviour of the world. He was to save us from our sins. The more we preach about this salvation the more we will experience the presence of God.
I once listened to a great man of God preaching the Word of God. I enjoyed his message and was blessed greatly. After some years, I could no longer listen to even a few minutes of this same man’s preaching. I thought to myself, “It is just one of those things.” After some time however, I found out that this man had veered off from mainline gospel preaching into other things. He even began to make a mockery of salvation, redemption and the blood of Jesus. I then understood why his preaching had lost its impact in my life. I no longer experienced the presence of God when he taught. Silver, which speaks of redemption, salvation and restoration is a key element if we want to experience the presence of God.

    "ANOINTED PRESENCE
    10th February, 2022
    READ: Psalm 139:7-12
Whither shall I go from THY SPIRIT? or whither shall I  flee from THY PRESENCE?
    Psalms 139:7
What is the anointed presence? It is the presence of someone more special than any human being can ever be. Whenever this anointed presence is there, people experience many good things. Today, many ministries do not have an anointed presence.
There are different dimensions of this mystical presence. The anointed presence is the holy presence of God in your life. The anointed presence is the presence of the Holy Spirit. The anointed presence is the holy presence of Jesus Christ in your life. The anointed presence is the presence of our Lord in your life. The anointed presence is the holy presence of His glory in your life. The anointed presence is the presence of the holy angels.
It is the holy presence of God that makes a big difference to everything. It is the presence of the Holy Spirit that makes a big difference. I pray that you will stop yearning for the presence of human beings and desire to have the anointed presence of God in your life. Stop yearning for the presence of presidents, vice presidents and other politicians. Stop looking to human beings! Stop desiring mere human personalities! Stop desiring that certain people would be at your programme. What will make the difference is the anointed presence of God.
Start yearning for the presence of the greatest person of all! The anointed holy presence is important for your life and ministry.
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

    BLESSING
    8th February, 2022
    READ: 2 Kings 4:8-17
Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
    Galatians 6:6-7
The Shunammite woman laboured to honour God’s prophet. She served him for many years. One day, the prophet asked, “What is to be done for thee?” That is the only question that will be asked after you have honoured God’s servant.
Blessings abound for those who honour God’s precious servants. The Shunammite woman received a child from the Lord; a blessing greater than anything money could ever buy, far more than any money she would have earned in a lifetime. Today, the Shunammite woman’s story encourages many people to labour for a blessing instead of labouring for money.
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, on this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, the lord bless thee, and keep thee: the lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto THEE: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.
    Numbers 6:22-27
The priests of God have a blessing to minister to God’s people. God spoke to Moses saying “Teach Aaron how priests should bless the people.” These blessings spoken by the priests will make a difference in your life.
Labour for a blessing to be spoken over your life by the priest! It is a blessing for you when your pastor declares powerful words over your life. Do not take these words for granted. You will wage a good warfare through these words of prophecy.

    A BIG DIFFERENCE
    7th February, 2022
    READ: Acts 11:17-26
Fight the good  fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
    1 Timothy 6:12
I believe God is sending a warning to all of us who are living today. Be careful of resting when you should be working. Be careful of praising yourself when your work is not finished. Be careful of early retirement and premature ageing!
God is asking you a question! Can’t you do just a little bit more? This famous question was asked by Joseph G. Morrison (1879-1939) who was a minister of the Church of the Nazarenes. J. G. Morrison was pleading with fellow Nazarenes in the 1930s to support missionaries. He was asking everyone if they could not do just a little bit more to help to support those who had been sent out on a mission.
In my travels, I have noticed a sad trend amongst ministers. Many are happy with what they have. Many ministers do not see the need to do a little bit more for the Lord. Once a man of God has money, a house, a car and a congregation, he is content to remain as he is. Many years ago, while in Korea, I heard Yonggi Cho saying that the master key to church growth is to have a vision for a huge church. Amazingly, most ministers do not really want a huge church. Most ministers are not fighting for church growth. Neither are they fighting for more and more souls to be won.
“So Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians” (Acts 11:25-26).
Today, this question, “Can’t you do just a little bit more?” is even more relevant. A little bit more will make a big difference in the work of God.

    AGE
    4th February, 2022
    READ: Luke 3:1-8, 21-23
And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph…
    Luke 3:23
Your spiritual age does not correspond to your natural age. Being older in the natural does not mean you are older in the spirit.
Do you think that John the Baptist was spiritually immature or not? Indeed, I am sure he was mature. Jesus called him the greatest prophet who ever lived. “For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” (Luke 7:28).
John the Baptist ministered and died around the age of thirty. Indeed, John the Baptist was a very young man. His spiritual age did not correspond to his natural age.
Do you think that Jesus Christ was spiritually mature? Of course He was! But He was only thirty years old when He began the ministry. Jesus was the most mature spiritual person that ever walked the earth and yet He only lived to be thirty-three years old!
Indeed, your spiritual age and your natural age are completely unrelated. What about the apostles whom Jesus appointed? How old do you think they were? Most people lead those younger than themselves. The apostles and disciples were probably younger than Jesus. Peter, James, John and the others became apostles when they were young men. Indeed, your spiritual age is not determined by your natural age. Do not assume that when a person is older, he is wiser spiritually! Do not believe that you cannot become great spiritually because you are young. The presence of lustful thoughts does not mean God is not happy with you. Lustful thoughts are part of a youthful body. You can be a great spiritual person even though you are young.

    DAILY COUNSEL _
    DELIVERANCE.
    3rd February, 2022
    READ: Isaiah 60:1-22
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
    Isaiah 5:2
God will exempt you from evil because He will not put bitter as sweet and sweet as bitter. In other words, God will not treat the sweet as He treats the bitter. How do you treat sweet things? You suck sweet things endlessly. How do you treat bitter things? You spit them out of your mouth. God will not treat His sweet children the same way as He treats His bitter children. The sweet ones will be exempted from being spat out.
God will exempt you from the darkness coming on the whole earth because of His glory.
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
    Isaiah 60:1-2
This famous scripture describes the exemption that comes on God’s people. In the midst of gross darkness, a light starts to shine. Darkness covers the whole earth. Everyone seems to be plunged into deep darkness. What is this darkness? This darkness is the darkness of poverty, the darkness of sickness, the darkness of sin, the darkness of defeat, the darkness of frustration, the darkness of humiliation, the darkness of failure and the darkness of death. In the midst of this overwhelming darkness, you will begin to be a beacon of salvation, light and hope. When everyone is dying, you will have the blessing of exemption. When everyone is diagnosed with an evil disease, you will be spared. When everyone is defeated, you will be successful. You will rise and shine in the midst of darkness because God has given you the blessing of being exempted from the effect of gross darkness.
