This week Destinista was joined by her childhood friend, @AllisaP_, and excuse us for the length of this episode but it's well worth it! They discussed being good girls growing up and how that led to them being bad a$$ women. The pair broke down what they believe a good girl is, tell some good ole wholesome stories and reveal why they never decided to really wild out! They reminisced on the good ole days (shout out to the QUAD and G-High) and explored how their foundation as "good girls" was helpful and harmful to them when navigating the world as women, and how important true mentorship and guidance is. So many gems were dropped y'all, just listen, because TRUST ... you are going to leave with SO MUCH to reflect on.

This week Destinista by another good, good girlfriend, Ms. @TaylorIvette1! They discussed the idea of doing and being "too much." And chile, the conversation took so many beautiful twists and turns. They got into what speaking up for yourself actually gets you, pending the circumstances, the true essence of being a "girl boss", the difference between actually doing too much and people just being uncomfortable with you being YOU anddddd experiencing men who directly (and indirectly) try to break your confidence. And that doesn't even sum it up for real - this is just a must-listen episode! Especially for folks who are still figuring out how to get comfortable with showing up as their full selves!

This week Destinista spoke to Darren Mack, an activist, and organizer in the Mass Incarceration space and they discussed the history of mass incarceration, the differences between reform and revolution, the organizing work that Darren does, and the importance of folks getting involved in movements that they're passionate about. This episode touched on many different topics that are important to movement building and enhancing community everywhere.

So many jewels were dropped in this episode, if nothing else it'll have you reflecting on what you want your role to be in the midst of everything going on today!

This week Destinista discusses THERAPY and the Black community's relationship with it with her good, good girlfriend and licensed therapist @the_joya_show. Joya broke down different types of therapy and the ladies discussed whether or not they believe therapy is for everyone, and the importance of being ready and open when beginning therapy. They also discussed how untreated trauma can manifest itself into larger issues and how therapy or other forms of mental health treatment can help break this chain. So many jewels were dropped this week but all in all, the ladies are excited about more BIPOC folks engaging in the mental health space whether it be by working in this space or getting the help that they need, and hope that this continues for generations to come.

This week Destinista discusses the beauty and importance of silence, the fear of solitude, and how failing to take time to yourself can throw you off your journey to attaining what's most important. In the end, there's time for a 9-minute meditation for all listeners who need a moment to silence their minds and regain balance.

Wishing you peace this week and the ability to remain focused on what matters most!
