    Dick Powell as Richard Diamond. A cold, icy day finds Richard indoors, enjoying a nap in his cozy office, until it is interupted by Abel Gunther. The old man can’t pay the standard rates, but his story is compelling enough to lure the hard boiled detective into the complications at his farm. Illness and hardship has struck him, and other farmers, just before offers for their land is made. Is there sabotage involved? Voodoo It’s more than a joke when Gunther dies in the office.
    The cops hold the bag on the homicide, and Diamond takes a flight to Haiti. Little Sheeva is a 300 pound hulking native, and the rash of death is far from over. Sheeva seems to be on the side of the Gunthers, and points Diamond to the authorities, and more voodoo related deaths. Where will the voodoo jungle drums lead?
    It’s time to regroup, and see what the cops have uncovered in their investigation. A cause of deth for the Gunthers is identified. How will it help Dick, down in Haiti? A plan is developed to turn the heat up, and expose a killer. How can Dick fight the supernatural forces of voodoo? Or the kind of natural forces to take on Little Sheeva and beat him to death?
    Is Dick too shaken by the voodoo ceremony he witnessed to take on the cqase? Voodoo secrets fall away, and rival farmer, Cuthwald, relies on good old fire power to convince Diamond. Voodoo gets revenge in an unexpected way for Richard Diamond’s typical flavor of hardboiled qjustice of Richqard Diamond.

    Rogue contemplates a day at the race track, but he’s interupted by a man with a story about missing cash from a robbery, and a treasure map to find it. Dead bodies keep Rogue from getting started. What’s the deal with the desperate phone calls from Muriel? Fending off the cops, and thugs who await him at his meeting with Muriel, Rogue avoids a thump on the head.
    Things get more interesting when Rogue finds himself at the business end of a .45, automatic, held by the deadly Muriel.
    After some fast talking, and an all night vigil, Rogue makes plans for some romantic travelling with Muriel. A trap is set up, but who will it catch? The cops get their killer, but how did Rogue do it? Listen and learn, and he’ll explain the whole thing.

A knock at his door introduces him to Carolyn Shepherd, a woman who needs help. The high strung woman is on the run from an abusive relationship. Just as quickly as she appears in Philip’s life, she disappears again. On the trail of clues, Marlowe finds only dead ends… until he tries to resume his 40 winks.
    As dawn breaks, a grumpy, and sleep deprived Marlowe is frustrated by not only one, but two women. Has there been a murder, along with his missing person case? What can Marlowe learn about his paranoid client, Carolyn? What is she hiding about a man in her life?
    Catching up with Carolyn, a web of lies is tossed at Philip. Is the disturbed woman in trouble with a blackmailer? Secrets boil to the surface, along with a killer, and the truth about the man who has been haunting Carolyn.

    Humphrey Bogart reprises his role as the hard boiled private investigator, Sam Spade. After his partner is murdered, Sam sets out to find out what happened. With his secretary, Effie Perine, backing him he pursues the mysterious Maltese Falcon.
    Though the presentation greatly shortens the classic film, there’s still plenty of action. Right up to the final confrontation with bad guy, Sidney Greenstreet.

    Armed with new information, Nick checks out a shady cab. Posing as a drunk, Nick becomes an easy mark for being picked up, but what game is this? What’s happening to the missing passengers of the cab? Nick has answers, but he still smells a rat.
    Joined by his cop friend, Penny, Nick discovers where Mr Wallace is, but he needs to rescue him from death. A trap is set, and secrets are revealed about who is really behind the disappearances, and why.

Lorraine has high hopes of winning the star role in the theater production, and her getting it plays a large part in her dad deciding to finance the theater company. What does all this have to do with the elections?
    The ballots begin coming in, so Frank, Gary, and their friends get ready to do their duty in processing them. The voting is to decide who gets the starring role. Just as congratulations are in order, Frank suddenly suspects the ballots may have been tampered with… but how? What makes him doubt the vote? A thump on the head seems to confirm he’s on the right track. How did a switch with the ballot box go down? Who could have done it, and when? Frank reviews the key clues with his friends.
    Remembering his magic trick, Frank thinks he knows the gimmick behind the ballots. Frank knows how it was done, but he still has to prove who was behind the fraud. Will a confrontation of the Shakespearean actors reveal the truth? Will it put an end to the dream of the budding young actors in putting on their show?

Jewelry has been stolen from her bedroom, and she wants to keep it secret from her traveling husband. Can he help her get the jewels back? Marlowe suspects her motives, and the jewels worth.
    Marlowe gives Lillian a lift to visit Silvia Jennings who is a rich widow friend, but red flags are raised for Philip. Marlowe follows his leads, but who is following Marlowe? Will the fortune teller have his answers as she gazes into her crystal ball?
    Thump on the head? Nope, just gassed by ether. It’s time to retrace his steps back through the characters. Silvia, Cookie, scams revealed, not to mention a pretty nasty hand gun. Danger looms, and Marlowe has to think fast to alert the cops, and break up the racket with the fortune teller.

    Who is able to be accounted for? Is it going to be easy to tell in all those costumes?
    Which of the kooky characters may have had motive to do the shooting? Sam works with the cops to figure out the ballistics. Then another clue comes in that could help shape the outcome.

    Escaping the heat of summer, Marlow slips into the air conditioned office of a visiting Philadelphia lawyer. The attorney is looking for a man named Douglas to award him with an inheritance. Can Marlowe find his man?
    With little more than a description of Douglas to go on, Marlowe hits the seedy side of town. Show girls, burlesque theater managers, bums on the street, all unwilling to cooperate with Philip. Who knew it could be so difficult to give someone money. Why don’t they want it, and why be so evasive?
    A thump on the head is the price to soften the way for Marlowe, but there’s more resistance to overcome. Connections are made, and truth exposed. Will Marlowe learn the secret behind the search? . Will it matter to him, since his job was only to locate Douglas? There’s murderous intent with the whole ordeal, but Marlowe could have trouble stopping it.
