    Relaxing on Saturday, Philip looks forward to a nice, casual day. Instead, he gets a phone call from Mrs Cadwell, who needs his help in a missing persons case. Where has the chauffeur of the 75 year old woman gone? Philip detects something amiss with Mrs Cadwell, and her sister Tilda, but he sets out to unravel the mystery any how.
    Stevens isn’t hard to find. Will he get back in touch with the elderly ladies? There’s still something odd in the job that Marlowe has been hired to do, but he can’t quite put his finger on the right question to have answered. Clues slowly emerge that involve stolen jade pieces.
    Poking around the news archives, Philip digs up dirt on dead bodies, in particular Mr Cadwell. What about their contributions to the Live Oak museum? The scandal at hand is one powered by dedication, rather than the usual motives of revenge or jealousy, and with Marlowe’s help an old lady just might live out her days in a little comfort.

    Fortunes in the textile industry have been built by the strange, and now deceased Mr Harwell. Johnny is soon on the scene in the huge mansion, to oversee the reading of the will. Death by poisoning has alerted the suspicions of the insurance company to possible fishy circumstances. How trustworthy are the household servants? Is there any bad blood among the surviving family members? Gretchen Nielson is easy on the eyes, but apparently never a favorite of the deceased Amelia. Will reports from the coroner, or interviews with the other heirs turn up any clue on a possible motive?

    There’s just as much reason as not to suspect the death was of innocent motive, but clues at the crime scene, and forensic evidence doesn’t add up for Johnny. Family skeletons begin to emerge from closets. When more attempts of poisoning take place, Johnny has to revisit his cast of characters to listen for hints at hard evidence of who the killer is. Get ready to gather all the players together, for a classic showdown in old school detective novel fashion. Johnny kicks the lid off the scandal as he puts the finger on his killer.

    News flash from CBS news: Peace talks may be coming for the fighting in Korea. Audio in today’s show is excellent.
    Meeting a sea captain, Marlowe learns his services won’t be needed after all. Getting paid for the job he didn’t do, Philip intends to enjoy some time doing nothing. A call for help alerts Marlowe that something fishy is going on that could be a matter of life or death. It’s head thumping time for Marlowe.
    Shaking the fuzziness from his head, Marlowe meets yet another person named Higgins. Who is this odd family that includes a strong sea captain, frightened fawn of a girl, and motherly woman? Philip is still locked away, and trying to regain all his senses. Dale Higgins is back, but who is more confused? The girl, or Marlowe. Captain Higgins is back with explanations. Will Marlowe buy the story? Who was it who hit him hard enough to still have a swimming head?
    Feeling well enough to leave the strange Higgins family, Philip is too intrigued to leave this chapter of his life behind him. Can he learn what he needs to know without rocking the boat? If he isn’t careful, somebody could end up dead. With the help of informants, a priest, and nuns, Philip may have this case in contrasts cracked. Now he has to bring it to justice.

    The Tollhurst family owns a fir trading business, and a theft draws the attention of Johnny Dollar to clear the air on whether the insurance claim is valid. Right off the bat, Johnny has to deal with a jumpy gunman, with a finger on the trigger. Will he have any progress to report to his insurance company? Does Mr Tollhurst know of any business rivals, or people who would want to ruin him? Abductions, beatings, and missing money after the robbers got away with it. Johnny has his hands full of danger and intrigue.
    It’s time to compare notes with the cops to see where the case stands, despite resentful attitudes from the authorities that a private investigator is poking his nose into their business. Johnny hits the streets to talk to the low level street thugs who might have did the deed. They aren’t smart enough to have masterminded the thing. Who is behind them? The widespread search leads to a blind and deaf woman on a farm. Johnny comes full circle to that twitchy gunman.
    Has Johnny found the secret to the theft, and missing cash?

    Stolen jewels are on their way to Cuba, and its up to Johnny to intercept them. Posing as a reporter, Johnny finds himself in a Cuban jail on the way to find his man. Dodging through the streets, close on the heels of Carnes, Johnny runs into a dame.
    The jewels are recovered, but not for long. A thump on the head is just one more set back for Johnny. Sharing the important details with the cops, Johnny has to hit the streets once again. It’s back to the dame. Wouldn’t it be bad if the Cuban investigator was told that Johnny’s insurance company knew nothing about him?
    That’s only the beginning of the complications that Johnny has to deal with before he gets some answers. Finding himself a wanted man won’t stand in the way, once Johnny is hot on the trail of his betrayer.

    Taking on a case as body guard, Barry escorts his lovely client. Mrs Beck comes up missing from her shopping trip, right under Barry’s nose. Why would she want to ditch Barry? Is Mr Beck holding back on information?
    Now on the job as a missing persons investigator, Barry looks for the missing wife formerlly night club singer Lyla Thorn. What if the missing woman doesn’t want to be found? Or likes it better where she is? What skeletons will turn up in the night club scene?
    A tragedy in a country cottage contains the burned body of Barry’s client. Might there be something fishy going on with the murder? A cover up maybe? Blowing a little smoke to bluff his suspects, Bsarry fishes for reactions to see which killer is the right one. All the twists in the story aren’t quite in, so sit tight for some surprises.

    While doing the routine things that detectives do, Barry needs to rely on his gun to ward off a large man who approaches him in a rainstorm. Jenkins is the man who Barry is tailing, but its time for a more direct approach. Will the lady of the house let him in to have a look around? Has Sam Jenkins given him the slip, and gotten away with industry secrets from the firm he works for? Is Sam in the right, and Barry being played?
    Industrial espionage turns into murder. Could it be the partners in the company, or is there still a hidden motive? Who is the big guy who acosted Barry earlier? With his service to his client ended, Barry smells a rat in the whole situation. Cops get involved as the body count rises.
    Barry is out to get revenge for being taken atvantage of, and he’s out for the kind of justice that the legal system can’t bring. Trusting in his own judge of human character, the bad guys don’t stand a chance.

    Investigating the death of Horace Lockhart in a car crash, Johnny Dollar travels to the West coast. First he needs to iron out which police agency has jurisdiction. What can be learned from some of the eye witness accounts? Is there something fishy with the story?
    Next its off to learn what he can from the surviving, grown children. A mystery woman holds the key to the killing, and ads offering a reward to locate her are circulated. A name and a picture are turned up, but no woman.
    Clues point to a dancer in a club. Word on a quick Mexican marriage, and a husband who had something happen to him is uncovered. Did Susan have something to do with the crash? Johnny has enough to track her down, and confront her. Will the crash still be considered legitimate? Was it over a jilted lover, and if so, which lover did it? Johnny explains it all as he summarizes the final entries in his expense account.

    Arriving home, Philip finds a sleeping woman in his doorway. Who is the older woman, and why does she seems to know Philip so well? Lucille has been hearing strange sounds from the bungalow next door. Tapping noises are heard, bbut it turns out to be Rogers. Though it’s all innocent enough on the surface, cracks in the story, and the wall, raise flags of suspicion for Philip. Suddenly, the situation explodes with the sound of a gunshot.
    Who shot Rogers? He’s in bad shape in the hospital, but the cops want first crack at getting his story. While Marlowe waits, he has a good look at Roger’s bungalowe. Will that crack in the wall hold a clue?
    Calling in a bluf, Marlowe puts the pressure on the shooter. There’s still a matter of what the shooting was all about. Is there some hidden valuables on the property? Skeletons in the closet are no match for the power of love.

    Details of the crime scene, namely the aircraft and nature of the explosion are reviewed. How will that forensic information help? The body count rises as the pressure of the investigation is on. Setbacks cause Johnny to go back to square one to get a fresh approach to the incident. It turns out to be the thing he needs to figure out who is behind the multiple jmurders.
