    A phone call from the bride finds Barry dealing with another corpse. How should Barry play the situation, hard, or smart? While he ponders that fact he ends up with a thump on the head. Facing off with the goons who have him in their custody, Barry reviews the points in the case. The mystery is becoming more clear. Fists, guns, and danger are in store for Barry.
    Get ready to have the lid kicked off, and the dirty laundry brought out in the open. The entanglement of blackmail, and murder has been broken.

    After a shooting in Los Angeles, Johnny Dollar is on the job to interview the girl who is being held as a material witness. Might there be a jealous lover who didn’t want Norma dating Alonzo? Johnny thinks Norma may know more than she’s letting on, but is she holding back on purpose?
    At the hotel lounge, Johnny talks to the bartender to get a feel ofor what went down. Meanwhile, the police check up on Norma’s story with her friends. Alonzo’s wife claims that there could be other enemies who would want her husband dead. The cops think they may have a man who had motive, and knew how to find his mark.
    The trail leads back to Mrs Chapman. Did she set a killer onto her husband?

    The mystery is baffling as Johnny and the cops think it over. When bodies of suspects show up, it changes the playing field for Johnny. Norma holds the key, but will another round of interviews with her turn up the answer?

    Answering the call, Johnny responds to a jewel theft in England. The historic establishment, Hachett House, is the focal point of where the tourists lost their diamonds. Maids, gardeners, ivy covered cottages, and butlers all portray a pastoral setting, but a tale of unhappiness and rivalry is soon to emerge. The dirt is dished out for Johnny, complete with slimy leeches, and drunken parties.
    Hatred, envy, broken friendships, and betrayal. What does it all mean for the stolen jewels? Is it connected at all? How about a marriage for money and not love?
    With all those suspicious characters, the situation is ripe to step the crime up a notch. Juicy scandal, but very stupid, especially when its right under the noses of Scotland Yard, and Johnny Dollar. A body is found, but will there be more before Johnny can guess who it is?

    Why would a corpse become reanimated? To see his girlfriend, of course. Why would Mrs Talbot agree to meet the corps if she doesn’t know who he is? Barry puts out feelers on the wife of Remo, and when he awakens, Remo tells Barry the details that led unto his death.
    Its back to the graveyard, and more bodies to dig up. The mysterious circumstance begins to come to light. How did the switch of bodies go down? Which ones are really dead? What’s the reason for the phoney reports of death?

    A report of a robbery case is where Sam starts, as he dictates his report to his xecretary. A wealthy family wants to keep their recent loss private, and out of the newspapers. Blackmail is suspected, and its up to Sam to learn exactly what its all about.
    The trail of following Kilgore takes Sam to a nightclub and the gambling tables. The old man seems bent on losing high stakes at the roulette wheel. Will there be danger for Sam as he continues following his man?
    The activity at the mob ran nightclub is more than Sam wants to get involved with, since he smells something fishy with his client.
    Is Mrs Kilgore actually the rea.l Mrs Kilgore? Will the melodramatic woman come clean about the secrets that she has been keeping?

    Sam is still in it enough to return to the club. He does a little gambling of his own, but this time he has to dodge a few bullets. Confronting the club owner with the money laundering scam, the trail heats up. Danger explodes, but a little honesty pays off for Sam.

    An early morning phone call gets Johnny started on his way to the city, the Equitable building, and the scene of emergency vehicles. Was the victim a jumper, or was he pushed? A string of carbides to boost his expense account and question ing, lands Johnny at the feet of a distraught wife. Her tears are calmed, but she becomes upset when she begins to believe Johnny’s investigation will only serve to keep her parted with insurance money that’s due to her.
    It’s off to the rural cops to find out what they know about the recent death. The relaxing hunting lodge seems pleasant enough, but Johnny needs to get more details from the country doctor. How did he identify the badly burned body? Discrepancies soon appear. Was it really George Farmer who died?
    Putting on the pressure, and along with the cops, Johnny lays out all the details. Is it going enough to force a confession from a killer?

    Maxie is an inmate who requests a favor of Barry. What does he want? To be bailed out, of course. The trial is still pending, and Barry gets Maxie out, to listen to the circumstance with his girlfriend, Sadie, and the way jealousy crept in to ruin their plans on a peaceful life. Is there any chance to have the charges dropped? Maxie seems to have a past at being locked in asylums. Is he the crazy type who would go through on threats of murder?
    His alleged girlfriend, and Lomax tell their sides of the story. Besides being wacky, is Maxie also a prophet? Murder enters the picture, but there’s still someone else who has a beef with Lomax. New motives appear in the forms of a former wife, and a former business partner. Barry makes the rounds to dig up the clues he needs to piece it all together.

    It’s time to dictate another report to his secretary, Effie Perine, and Sam is dead on his feet. Acting as an insurance investigator, Sam talks to a dead man, or at he’s legally dead after being declared missing for over 7 years. Lazarus had embezzled over $25k to support his hot, young bride, then settled down in Mexico to wait out his 7 years.
    At the Blue Bottle Tavern, Sam gets the story from Emma Lazarus-Wilhelm. Sam is onto her gold digging ways, but is he prepared for twists in the story that could bring danger his way? A body shows up, but instead of a thump on the head, Sam ends up drugged from a hypodermic needle.
    The clock is ticking as Sam fights to overcome the affects of the drug in his system. Will he live long enough and beat the 3 hour time limit placed on him? He needs to prove that Lazarus is who he claims to be, and that the alleged suicide is actually murder. With the cops notified, Sam sets up a trap for a killer.

    On a train, Barry intervenes when he spots a drink being poisoned. Who wants Miss Robbins dead? What is so important about the envelop he has i his care? Shady characters seem to pop out of the woodwork, but Barry thinks fast to get the better of the killers and the phonies.
    Clare knows more than she’s telling, but can Barry get her to talk? The train conductors aren’t going to be much help, and its up to baryd to do his own snooping. The answer may lay in the town where the train is destined for.
    Confronting the bad guys ends up in a game of cat and mouse as they race through the smoke screen and bluffs played out for them. Barry is tailed, but is it really him who the bad guys need to be worrying about? The lid is kicked off the mystery when Bary has one final encounter with Clare, and her pursuers.

    Discussing his evening out dancing, Effie seems a little jealous as she gives Sam the cold shoulder. Still, she dutifully takes pen in hand to take dictation on his latest case. Flashback to the courtroom scene, where John Lawless is on trial. Sam is on hand as a witness against the man. It’s now 3 years later, and gang rivalries run deep. Did an innocent man do time? Sam is hired for protection when murder enters the scene for the petty crook.
    After some head thumping action, Sam comes up short on clues, suspects, and even the corpse has vanished. Hitting the streets, an informant sets Sam into the direction of the night club scene. What will he learn from John’s old lawyer, and Sally? The pressure is on, the cops are called, and danger is in the air when the guns come out.
    There’s plenty of loose threads for Sam to explain as he sets the innocent free, and the real criminals get their just deserts. Back in his office, he wraps up his report with Effie.
