So we are now in the age of UAPs and UFO's, so what happens next.  Well, if you've watched any space alien movie at all, we can tell you the options are endless.  Google anything regarding UAPs and be ready for your mind to be blown.  As the X-Files  famous tagline says,  "The Truth is Out There."

In this part 1 of our 2 part series on the "War on Drugs" we tackle the 1980s!  

It was September 14th, 1986, President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan address the nation to present their presentation of there "War on Drugs" campaign.  This campaign launched a fueled controversy across the county for decades.  Nancy Reagans famous "Just Say No" campaign swept the country.  But they were not the first, it goes back to President Richard Nixon's coining of the phrase in 1971 that led to the launch of the official campaign.  

So take a step back in time with us to the 1980's as we tackle this oh so controversial topic of the "War on Drugs".  Grab your popcorn, Jolt Soda, and a slice of Shakey's Pizza and dive on in...it's gonna be a time!

Ripped directly from the headlines, a woman is driving down a dark road when suddenly lights appear in her rearview mirror.  Her heart jumps and that panic sets in whenever we see those police vehicle emergency lights light up our mirrors.  Except there is one problem, these lights don't look like regular police vehicle lights.  A story all to familiar, she looks at the lights and realizes that is not a police car, she is being pulled over by a police impersonator.  This is a very real and scary scenario we hear about all to often on the news.  Do you know someone who has been pulled over by a police impersonator, or are you a police officer who has arrested a police impersonator?  This scenario happens all to often.  

In this episode we talk about who these people are and where they get their gear from.  Are they wanna be cops, thief's, or predators out to take advantage of an unsuspecting victim.

You ever wonder what happens during an investigation, the behind the scenes stuff you never hear about while watching your favorite true crime documentary on Netflix.  Well here at Detectivery State of Mind we will do the best we can to give you a little taste of what kind of fuckery happens behind the scenes, and how so many weird and bizarre things can go wrong during an investigation.

Yes, guns, there are guns in America, we have lots of them, all sorts of guns, all kinds of sizes, there's one for everyone...actually that's true there are enough guns in America, everyone could own like 4 guns each.  In episode 45, we take a dive into guns in America, and tackle some brief history, look at the types of guns police officers carry.  Ever since guns have made their way across the ocean and landed on the shores of North America, military, and law enforcement personnel have utilized them.  The ever fueling firearms debate electrifies humans all over the world, and of course right here in the US...what are we to do.  Here at Detectivery SOM, we took a stab at bringing you some firearms history, sprinkled with technical firearms information, why police officers all across the US carry firearms, and our attempt at adding fuel or maybe water to the national firearms debate.   

This is not an easy topic, nor is it one without controversy, don't be afraid, jump on in and take a listen...it's okay to feel emotion, and curse loudly while listening to this episode...we did the same while recording it.  After recording this episode and walking out of Detectvery Studios, our discussion continued far past the conclusion of our recording session.  our hope is it does the same for you, your family, and your friends...start the discussion, no matter if you are for firearms or against them...we are all on the same side, and that is human life, it is precious, and fragile.   Maybe you will find some common ground, have some adult conversations, and maybe just maybe, learn something you didn't know.

In this episode, Detectivery SOM takes a dive into the WTF world of mass shooting events, active shooters, mass casualty events, or whatever name is tagged to these horrific tragic events.  Historically, facets of society have attempted to blame video games, music, social media, mental health, and movies as the catalyst leading to these horrific tragic events.  We will take a dive into the shady underbelly of this world, look at some of the science of the why's, the how's, the profiles, or the who's, but the answer still lies hidden within, and remains a mystery. 

We look into active shooter response training, FBI stats, and some profiling tactics, to maybe help shed some light on this topic.  We look at some historical data, and studies done over the decades.  This is not an easy, nor a light topic to cover.  Every active shooter event that has ever taken place is a complete and total tragedy, filled with empty hearts, grief, , sadness, and usually leads to more questions than answers.  Here at Detectivery Studios, we send our thoughts and prayers to all the individuals directly impacted by such a tragedy, and tragic loss of life. 

Hear something, see something, say something!  Don't keep it a fucking secret, what you know could save many lives...even your own.
