Students at Eastern Michigan University are being asked to evacuate their residence halls after an alleged bomb threat -- Walton, Phelps, Best, Dowing, Eateries, DC1, Wise, Buell, and Putnam. They are doing this out of an abundance of caution.

Parents of confessed Oxford school shooter Ethan Crumbley, James and Jennifer Crumbley, were both sentenced to 10 to 15 in years in prison today following their convictions on four counts of involuntary manslaughter earlier this year.

State Police say police found the semi in St. Joseph Township and the semi truck driver crashed into a police vehicle and then crashed into a home. Police say he got out of the truck and ran away and then got into a violent altercation with an officer. The officer shot the driver, who was taken to the hospital, but later died from his injuries. Michigan State Police say the incident happened in area of I-94 near State Street yesterday afternoon. Investigators say a 38-year-old man from Jackson was driving westbound on I-94 when his front tire detached from the car, it went over the median wall and hit a Chevy Malibu traveling eastbound.
