It was just before 9 o'clock last night that Eastpointe PD was dispatched following a report of shots fired. Officers discovered that the incident began blocks away as the victims told them that they were parked outside a home there, when another vehicle pulled up along-side and began shooting at them. Fire crews found a detached garage completely engulfed. As they worked to put out the flames, they found a 72-year-old man inside the garage, already dead. Investigators think the man may have knocked over a space heater, which caused the fire.

A man and woman were found dead Wednesday in a Madison Heights home that had caught fire. After an investigation, WWJ's Darrylin Horne says authorities have determined the man stabbed the woman to death and then turned the knife on himself.
