In a press conference yesterday, Gov. Kate Brown listed five communities as “substantially destroyed” by unprecedented wildfires that continue to burn: Detroit in Marion County, Blue River and Vida in Lane County, and Phoenix and Talent in Jackson County. Today there are conflicting reports, and it appears Vida and Blue River may not have been hit quite as hard as first thought. We hear from Detroit Mayor Jim Trett about the damage and how he and his community are responding.
