    We’ve got a full day of baseball for FanDuel and DraftKings and the DFSR crew is here to break down the evening slate of games. They discuss some of the pitching options and a trio of pitchers who aren’t exactly throwing like preseason projections had them (both good and bad). They talk about Patrick Corbin against the Marlins, Matthew Boyd’s staggering K numbers compared to his career averages and whether Jake Odorizzi can sustain his big improvements this season.

    They also touch on Framer Valdez briefly who’s a big favorite against the Pirates.
    Then they move on to stacks and look at the higher run total in Philadelphia between the Mets and Phillies. They mostly focus on the Phillies’ side of that matchup against Jason Vargas. There are a couple of other stacks to throw out there as well.

  • Friday MLB DFS Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 6/21/19

    It’s a big Friday in baseball and the DFSR crew has you covered for FanDuel and DraftKings MLB picks. The guys look at the plethora of ace-level pitchers going on Friday and work to come to a consensus on where to lean in cash games as compared to GPPs.

    Chris Sale is the obvious big money target as a -340 opening favorite at home against the Blue Jays. Sale has been dominant over the last two months, recording double-digit strikeouts in nine of his last eleven games.
    They also look at Aaron Nola coming somewhat cheaper on DraftKings against the Miami Marlins. But there’s also talk of Trevor Bauer and his pitch counts, Walker Bueller’s recent run and even Stephen Strasburg against the Braves.
    For offensive stacks, the guys look at a super high total in Texas between the White Sox and Rangers, plus possibly the Giants against Taylor Clarke. All this and more on a Friday MLB podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel.

  • Wednesday MLB DFS Podcast with Bonus NBA thoughts and reactions - 6/19/19

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis are back for another MLB DFS Podcast, breaking down the Wednesday evening slate of baseball games for FanDuel and DraftKings.

    They kick things off with some talk on the pitchers for the evening slate. They look at Rich Hill as the cash game play on both sites considering his numbers have been excellent this season, some of the injury stuff seems to be behind him and the pitch counts (recently) haven’t been an issue. After him, there are a number of cheaper pitchers who look interesting in plus matchups like Jon Lester and Max Fried.
    For stacks, they focus on the Angels against the awful Aaron Sanchez, plus a game in Texas between the Indians and Rangers.
    Then, for the end of the show, the guys switch gears and discuss some of the recent NBA news ad moves. They seen some time on the Anthony Davis to the Lakers trade and examine it from both sides. They also try to make sense of the Eastern Conference with the Celtics apparently breaking up and how that could effect the top tier teams like the Bucks and Sixers.

  • Double Podcast! MLB Picks and Plays Plus NBA Finals Reactions - 6/14/19

    It’s another bonus MLB podcast with the guys breaking down a big Friday in baseball action for FanDuel and DraftKings. But they also spend the last part of the podcast discussing the end of the NBA Finals, their thoughts on the series and what it could mean for the offseason.

    For pitchers, the guys talk about Gerrit Cole against the Toronto Blue Jays. He’s now in the discussion as one of (if not, the) best arms in baseball. He has a great money line and matchup. They also look at Chris Bassitt’s season and whether it’s sustainable going forward.
    From a tournament perspective, Max Scherzer and Lucas Giolito look like solid pivots.
    For hitters, the guys look at the game in Coors with a 12.5 opening over/under. But other teams like the Indians, Brewers and Twins are all coming cheaper than that game and have just as good matchups.
    And finally, it’s on to the NBA Finals. The guys give their reactions on the Raptors win and as well as Golden State’s crushing injuries. They look at the different performances, give some thoughts on the final game and also what this series means writ large for the NBA as a whole this offseason.

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the podcast to offer a double episode of sports’ talk with a MLB plays for FanDuel and DraftKings, plus a look at the NBA Finals as the Warriors-Raptors series heads into Game 6.

    For pitchers, they look at Justin Verlander against the Brewers, but also Brandon Woodruff taking the mound opposite for Milwaukee.
