    DFSR's Doug Norrie and James Davis are back on the podcast discussing the two slates of MLB action for FanDuel and DraftKings. For the early afternoon games, they go into Chris Sale's potential ownership and whether there's any solid reason to pivot away from him in cash games or GPPs. They also look at Chris Archer as a possible SP2 on DK even with the matchup against the Yankees. 

    For the evening slate, they discuss the park effect debate happening in Arizona and how that effects Clayton Kershaw for cash games. They also look closely at Justin Verlander against the struggling Orioles. 
    For each slate they highlight stacks on offense with a decent amount of bad pitching and solid offenses in good spots.

There's plenty to dive into with a new season around the corner and the guys look into some general MLB DFS strategies, ideas, components and considerations when putting together MLB lineups. 

    They discuss the DFSR system of projections and what factors they weigh on a daily basis. They look at Vegas lines, platoon splits, park factors, and other pieces of the puzzle when formulating projections. 
    They also look ahead to opening day and discuss guys like Chris Sale, Clayton Kershaw, Garret Richards and more.

  • Friday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 9/8/17

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the Friday baseball podcast to discuss a full slate of game for FanDuel and DraftKings. The discussion starts with Max Scherzer who’ll likely be chalk on both sites, much how we saw Kluber’s ownership last night. He’s far and away the best pitcher on the slate and has a great matchup against the Phillies.

    After that they discuss the innings and pitch count concerns with Yu Darvish. And then they look at some of the cheaper SP2 options on DraftKings like Marcus Stroman, Luke Weaver and Patrick Corbin.
    For the stacks it looks like Arizona and Cleveland could be the chalkier teams to target facing Jordan Lyles and Wade Miley respectively. They also look at the Mets, Reds and Yankees.

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the Thursday MLB podcast discussing a smaller day on the baseball schedule. The obvious part first is the two big arms taking the mound tonight in Corey Kluber and Clayton Kershaw. They are two of the top arms in all of baseball and the guys debate whether the latter is safe considering a probable pitch count only two start removed from the DL. They also talk about the prospect of rostering them both on DK for over 50% of the salary cap there.

    They also discuss some more arms and stacks including the Marlins, Reds and both sides of the Twins/ Royals game.

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the baseball podcast discussing a full Tuesday evening in the majors for FanDuel and DraftKings. There’s plenty to break down with a bunch of quality arms taking the mound. They hone in on Jacob deGrom going against a subpar Phillies team. But they also look at Stephen Strasburg facing Miami.

    On the cheaper side Michael Wacha gets the dream matchup against the Padres in Petco and they discuss whether to be worried about Danny Salazar on a pitch count.
    For the hitters, the game in Coors looks like the cash game stack on the Rockies side with low K Ty Blach taking the mound for the Giants. They also look at the Yankees, Indians and Angels. All of this and more on a full Tuesday podcast for FanDuel and DraftKings.

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the Friday podcast discussing everything you need to know for making lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel. They get into the weird state of pitching today where Clayton Kershaw is back but on a pitch count. It’s likely too much to pay for him there so they look into the merits of Jimmy Nelson, Gerrit Cole, Luis Castillo and even possibly Dinelson Lamet.

    On the hitters’ side of things we always need to move games in Coors up to the top of the stacks’ list though both Arizona and Colorado are expensive. They also take a look at the Marlins, Rays, Brewers, Angels (now with Justin Upton) and Yankees.

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the MLB podcast discussing an afternoon and evening slate of baseball action.

    They start with discussing Doug’s recent traffic violation ticket and whether he’s running bad in the “getting pulled over” department.
    For the early slate they break down Collin McHugh against the Texas Rangers and Jacob deGrom against the Reds in Cincy. Neither are fantastic options.

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the podcast discussing a full day of baseball DFS action for FanDuel and DraftKings. First they look at the early slate of games where pitching is a real issue. Robbie Ray is clearly the best arm but he’s also on first game since returning from the DL. After him the list gets real dicey real quick.

    For the evening they take a close look at Chris Sale in his matchup against the Indians. Carlos Martinez figures to be a chalkier play against the the weak-hitting Padres. And for starting pitcher two purposes they point to the possibility of playing Trevor Bauer or Jose Berrios.
