  • Daily Fantasy MLB Podcast for Tuesday 6/5/18

    It’s a big Tuesday in baseball and there’s a ton for the DFSR crew of James Davis and Doug Norrie to discuss. They take a look at the FanDuel and DraftKings plays for the day and how to best attack some cash and GPP lineups.

    They start with pitcher where Max Scherzer seems like the clear, safe way to pay up at the position. He’s been excellent and is a huge favorite against the Rays. They also look at Corey Kluber, Sean Newcomb, Kyle Hendricks and more as possible pivots/ SP2 options.
    On the offensive side of things the A’s stand out as a possible full cash stack against Matt Moore in Texas. But plenty of other bad arms are taking the mound as well. The guys break down everything on the full slate of Tuesday MLB action.

  • DFS MLB Podcast for Friday 6/1/18

    It’s a big Friday in baseball and the DFSR crew breaks down all of the options on DraftKings and FanDuel. They start off by discussing some of the upper tier pitching options, specifically Gerrit Cole and Chris Sale facing off against each other in Houston. It’s an interesting spot for both considering their prices are a bit depressed on both sites because of the matchup. But they are clearly the best two arms on the day and we have to weigh that against the rest of the options.

    They also take a look at guys like Nick Pivetta, Sonny Gray, Miles Mikolas and some others if you don’t want to go the double expensive route.
    For the bats there’s a game in Coors to consider but plenty of other teams in great spots against bad pitchers. The Brewers get Hector Santiago, the Diamondbacks face Elieser Hernandez and much more.

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the Wednesday podcast discussing a double slate of MLB action for DraftKings and FanDuel. There’s a lot to like from both the early afternoon and evening set of games in terms of high upside pitching and bats in great spots against bad pitchers. 

    Corey Kluber highlights the early slate of games as the clear cash game pitcher. The guys also discuss the merits of Alex Reyes in cash even though he’s coming off of only a few rehab starts. 
    They also look at the Indians as a stack in cash games. 
    For the evening the guys discuss the mispricing of James Paxton on both sites, but especially FanDuel where he’s under 10K. Of course, there’s also a game Coors to figure out and some quality SP2 options on DraftKings.

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the podcast discussing a full slate of evening baseball action for FanDuel and DraftKings. There’s a lot to discuss especially with the schedule (finally) heading back to a Coors Field game. The Rockies have spent so much time on the road that we haven’t been treated to some of the highest implied run lines you’ll see on a slate. It’s going to make sense to try to get at least a few Rockies’ bats into lineups against Sal Romano.

    They discuss some of the top pitching options like Max Scherzer, Noah Syndergaard, and James Paxton all coming with favorable matchups. They also look at Ross Stripling on the cheap as a big favorite against the Padres at home.

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to Wednesday podcast discussing a double slate of baseball action for FanDuel and DraftKings. We are able to split up the two aces going today with Justin Verlander taking the mound on the early set of games and Jacob deGrom starting against the Marlins in the evening. That makes the FanDuel cash game pitcher decisions pretty easy. It’s a different story on DraftKings where both guys are priced in the very upper salary tier.

    The guys also look at arms like Kyle Gibson, Michael Wacha, Kenta Maeda and even consider David Price and Chris Archer faced up against each other.

They start the podcast discussing the move over the weekend by the Rays to start Sergio Romo out of the bullpen for one inning against the Angels. They talk about how these kinds of moves could affect projections going forward.

    For the main slate of games, the guys debate between the two top options in Gerrit Cole and Chris Sale. Both are in good spots, coming at top dollar. They discuss whether these early season numbers are the new norm for Cole.
    There’s also some talk of Trevor Cahill and Luke Weaver as SP2 options on DK.
    On offense, there’s no shortage of bad arms to target like James Shields, Matt Harvey, Matt Koch, Matt Boyd, Mike Leake and more.

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the MLB pod discussing a full slate of Friday baseball for FanDuel and DraftKings. There are a lot of interesting ways to take lineups today considering some big arms like Max Scherzer could have you spending up all the way at starting pitcher. The guys discuss the merits of that approach along with other secondary considerations like Jacob deGrom coming very cheap on DraftKings. Ivan Nova and Ross Stripling are also solid ways to save money at SP2.

    No shortage of bad pitchers take the mound as well with the Rangers, White Sox, Cubs and Red Sox all projected for a lot of runs.
    Finally, the guys have a quick Yanny vs. Laurel debate.

    DFSR’s Doug Norrie and Chris Durell take to Friday’s podcast discussing a full slate of MLB action for FanDuel and DraftKings. There’s a lot to like about this slate with some above average arms taking the mound and offenses in good spots as well.

    At pitcher, the guys discuss Gerrit Cole’s breakout season with the Astros. He’s striking out more than 13 batters per nine and has even reduced his walk rate. He’s been about the best pitcher in baseball. They also look at Jose Berrios, Walker Bueller, and Zack Wheeler as solid pivots.
