Today I want to talk about how to create a culture of accountability in your company.
Accountability is my love language. I love when people do what they say they are going to do.
But that's not always the norm is it?
What do you do as a leader when the ball drops, or the deadline passes, and your team has nothing to show for the work they committed to doing?
In today's episode you'll hear:
- How to get our team on board with holding themselves accountable to their commitments- How we as leaders need to hold OURSELVES accountable- The benefits of an accountable workplace- Why short sprints can show you who is cut out to deliver and who's not
Desperation, or hunger to succeed without a backup plan, may be what determines your early success as an entrepreneur, but it can't be your modus operandi.
Desperation functions like a stinky perfume most prospects can sense a mile away.
Today we are talking about how to show our power, not our desperation, as business owners.
I've got strategies and advice for you born from what I learned the hard way in growing my business.
In today's episode you'll hear:
- Why DESPERATION is a harmful modus operandi for leaders- 11 tried-and-true strategies for tapping into your POWER as a leader- The PITFALLS of settling for less than your worth- Why delivering on what you PROMISE is just as important as your confidence- How to PROTECT your time and energy so you don't feel taken advantage of!

As leaders, we want to be approachable and open. We want our team members to feel comfortable talking about their personal life with us. But sometimes, it goes too far. Stuff at home, or emotional insecurities, can affect how our team performs at work.
How can you handle the emotional insecurities of your team without losing your patience? What should you say when a member of your team Slacks you with a personal concern? How can you gently crack the whip to keep the business running while still being approachable?
In this episode I'm going to answer these questions and share my personal experience with handling a team's emotional insecurities. I will also give examples of what not to do so that you don't make matters worse -- for yourself or others!
In today's episode you'll hear:
- How to make HEALTHY accommodations to teammates who have personal life conflicts- The SIMPLE ways you can show appreciation to emotionally insecure employees- Why you need to ENGAGE to find out what's going on behind the scenes- How benchmarks and check-ins can keep you and your team team moving FORWARD- The importance of addressing the INDIVIDUAL - The need for empathy and BOUNDARIES- How an EA can help you multiply your IMPACT with struggling teammates - WHEN you'll know if someone is no longer a good fit

There is so much FREEDOM that comes with delegation.
It's an investment, it takes work, but it pays dividends to your mental health and time with family to be able to step away, eat dinner with your kids and know that your business is still OK.
The actual act of delegating is often the crux of success for an entrepreneur. It is NOT intuitive and is not something most CEOs are excited to do! Let's be honest, we're control freaks!
I say delegation is the crux of success because it is HOW you can create and SUSTAIN massive momentum in your business. It is how you achieve SCALE.
This episode is part 3 of the 4 D's of Delegation Mastery: Decide (what to delegate), Document (your process), Delegate (like a master), Detach (empower your team).
Make sure you listen to the previous episodes to lay a foundation for what we discuss today!
In today's episode you'll hear:
- The 4 steps to delegating like a MASTER.- You might think you are OK with delegating...but are you? - How to STOP hovering and micromanaging and start TRUSTING.- Why we advocate for outsourcing OUTCOMES not tasks.- How to effectively use the 6 levels of delegation to grow an EMPOWERED team.

Make sure you listen to last week's episode if you need a refresher on how to decide what to delegate. It will set the foundation for what we discuss today.
