He worked for the United States Department of Homeland Security, eventually retiring as the director of the Miami/Tampa Field Offices Communications Management Operations. Born in New York City and adopted by James and Penny Gregory, Louis grew up with a strong military influence from his father, James, who served as an Army paratrooper and Air Force technical instructor.
