According to the evolutionary story, everything evolved—including our belief in God. Supposedly early cultures invented a divine being and this belief helped their society flourish, so it got passed along.
Well, the Bible gives us the correct view. We’re all descendants of Adam and Eve—people who talked with God. After the global flood, Noah’s descendants took this knowledge of God with them as they spread around the earth. Sadly, sin perverted this knowledge and people invented their own gods.
The Bible also tells us God has put knowledge of himself in all hearts. Everyone knows there’s a God and he calls all to repent.
