Everyone remembers where they were and what they felt on September 11, 2001. Most of us felt fear and confusion; but, as the weeks went on we began to feel something else - a real sense of unity & American pride. We are now at a place in time where red, white, and blue are signs of controversy, athletes kneel for the flag and first responders are continually dehumanized. We said we'd "never forget", but we've already forgotten.
