We're living in it, folks. The Robot Future is upon us! But first, Dan and Max have stuff to chat about. Dan brings us some of the news we've been waiting the longest for, that One Punch Man season 2 is coming out next year! Then Max tells us all about the comic Eclipse, both that the new arc is out now and that it's been optioned as a TV show! Dan brings us in to the Robot Future with discussion about a robot that can find Waldo. Max closes us out with the latest news in the MoviePass debacle. Is there something you think we should see or want to know if we've seen? Let us know on Twitter or Facebook!
Welcome back, friends. Gen Con is behind us, Comic Con was a few weeks ago, but we've still got geek news for ya. Dan starts us off with news about the newest game from Richard Garfield called Keyforge. Max tells us about a Star Wars fan film that pokes fun at people who were upset with The Last Jedi. Dan keeps us in film land to talk about a prequel to The Sandlot that's supposedly going to happen and the mere existence of which annoys both of our hosts greatly. Max rounds us out with news about how Sony is going to be releasing televisions this fall that come with a Netflix calibration that will allow fans to enjoy streaming content in the aspect ratio and quality that their creators intended. Was there anything you think we should have seen or want to know if we've seen? Let us know on Facebook and Twitter!
Interesting one for you here this episode, folks. Dan opens us up with a follow up on a service Max talked about several months ago, MoviePass and the fact that they all but went financially insolvent last Thursday night. Max then follows up with a review of the trailer for Pupper Master: The Littlest Reich, which is as terrible as you'd expect from the name. Dan takes us to an emotional place discussing the announcement that Star Wars IX will feature previously shot footage of Carrie Fisher to keep General Leia in the story and Max rounds us out with news about a cool independently produced Dungeons and Dragons offering called "100 Monster Hunts" that sounds really really cool. Is there something that you want to know if we've seen or think we should see? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter.
Max goes first this episode because we were worried that we had scooped each other's stories for the second week in a row. Turns out we hadn't but we kept the different format anyway. Max leads us with news of the tv adaptation of one of our favorite comic books, Invincible, Dan talks about a TV spinoff/reimagining of Clive Barker's Nightbreed, Max keeps us in comic books and tells us about Mark Millar's new book "The Magic Order" which is already being adapted by Netflix as a series, and Dan rounds us out with discussion about whether or not Solo was actually a box office flop and if Star Wars ancillary movies are actually going to keep getting made. (Spoilers, they are.)
We've done something this week we've only ever done once before! Max and Dan each brought the same (well, in this case a similar) story to talk about. Though, to be fair, Super Smash Brothers coming to the Nintendo Switch with a crazy lineup featuring every single character ever released in a Smash Brothers game is some wild news! Max follows it up with some Hip Hop news, discussing Kayne and Kid Cudi's "KIDS SEE GHOSTS" which looks like a pretty great album. Dan rounds us out with the news that 8 years from now the whole world is going to be paying attention to the United States once more as we're part of a joint arrangement with Canada and Mexico to host the FIFA World Cup which is something he's been hoping would happen for a very very long time! Is there something you think we should have seen or want to know if we've seen? Check us out on facebook and twitter!
