Bec McLeish is a keen bushwalker and trail runner these days - and even ran a half marathon recently. She is married to Tony and works as a pharmacist in a local Brisbane hospital. She is a delightful person and it will do you good to hear her running journey and her epic broken pinky story!

Chatting tonight at TEEs training with the champions who ran at the Gold Coast Marathon over the weekend. So many magic moments and wonderful community support for all involved. None better than 10 year old Sam running the last 11k of the 42k marathon with his mum, Jess.

Sean recently completed his first ever full 42k marathon at the Brisbane Marathon festival. His wife Renae and his children regularly run parkrun and come to TEEs with him, as running has become a regular and important part of his life. The benefits are amazing for him as an individual, but also socially and as a husband and father.

Alex was born in Brazil and has a busy career as an engineer. He is a family man as well and his work life balance got out of whack to the point that he needed to make some big changes. Running was part of that journey and he is doing his first full marathon at the Gold Coast next weekend. His running story is inspirational!

Kirsten loves chatting to people and tends to enjoy this more than running. Her son Angus is also keen and runs to keep fit for footy, so she started coming to TEEs for him. She now comes to TEEs without Angus and has just signed up for the GC 10k. She is becoming more of a runner than she had planned.

Bec is, by nature, a shy sort of person who really doesn't like running. However she joined Tees, made a heap of new friends and now is training for the Gold Coast Half Marathon. She is a lovely person and her running story from zero to 21k, is wonderful.

Julia is a regular at the Toohey Trot on a Wednesday morning. Her running story is heartwarming, as it has been so important for her well being. Julia is originally from the Ukraine and has found running to be one of the ways she copes with stress and makes new friends.

Sarah is a seasoned Iron woman and trail runner even though as a child she hated all things sporty. She is a  regular at the Wednesday Tooheys Trot and we chat together after a Friday morning Whites Hill adventure about her trail running journey. She is delightful.

My lovely cousin Christine saw me parkrunning ten or so years ago and thought if he can do it ..... Now her and her husband Jeff are seasoned runners and love their parkrun community.

Darren and his wife Janine are regulars at the Toohey Trot trail run on a Wednesday morning. He reckons it's a bit like speed dating. You chat for a while and the someone else comes along and you chat to them - and repeat!
