What does the Greek word mustērion mean? Our English Bibles typically render this word as "mystery," or "secret." What does the Greek word euaggelion mean? Our English Bibles typically render it as "gospel," "evangel," or "good news." How does our understanding of these words impact the preaching of the cross? Is prophecy about the cross the same as the preaching of the cross, or are they different things? Christianity has allowed biases and misunderstanding to overwhelm it; with the result being many Christians cannot tell anyone with clarity what the "gospel" is! So, what exactly does the Apostle Paul mean when he says: "the secret of the evangel?" As a believer it is crucial to understand these words, and the significance they hold for all of humanity!
The book of Judges is not just a book about individual stories, but a book about Israel's repeated rebellion against God. The more an individual reads and studies this book the more one can see ancient Israel foreshadowing the modern United States of America. Socialism is an economic system that is slowly but steadily gaining in popularity with our younger generations. The rise of political figures like AOC, and Bernie Sanders continue to drive socialism in the USA. With its increasing popularity we must ask, "What does the Bible teach about it?"
Christianity as a whole has been very confused as to who the bride of Christ is. Some say it is the church, others say it is Israel, and still others say it is both. We need to ask, "What says the Scriptures." It is only through a very in-depth study of the words used that we can come to an answer. Please make sure to give us a like, and make sure to follow us!
