It has been said that intentionality is one key to success.
Every day we do so much out of sheer habit. If we took the time to go back and analyze our choices, we might be surprised by how many were not entirely intentional decisions. We'll find that most decisions were the result of choices derived out of convenience. We didn't take the time to thoroughly process or develop a best practice for thinking, evaluating, and choosing. Instead, our choices are justified by knee-jerk reactions or our intuition.
When we make decisions, they should be made with our eyes on the goal or desired outcome. We should place deliberateness and intentionality at the forefront of decision-making.
Let's get back to basics by allowing ourselves to visualize our goals and desired outcome and think through the steps we must take to achieve them. Then execute by taking the first step.
One last bit of advice; if you are having trouble deciding what you truly want: determine what you don't wish to and be deliberate about that.
