Sadey pyaare shri Guru Arjun Dev ji Maharaj.
It is a year today
Since you left us for a higher journey
But I still cannot come to terms
That you are not with me
I miss you so...
I still see you faithfully behind me
Wagging your little tail
Looking at me with complete devotion
Even when you were so frail
I miss you so...
I see you at my bedside
More often on my bed
Licking lovingly sometimes my tears
Now I cry alone instead
I miss you so...
I still hear your little growl
Turn into a shrill bark and angry face
At anyone who came near me
Threatening to take your place
You loved me so...
You were so beautiful, inside-out
Your soulful eyes told me all
Your maaza mango and vanilla soft
The weakness to have it all
You loved it so...
As for trouble you gave me none
Even went away when I was gone
You knew I could not bear
To see you lying all limp there
You loved me so...
I know you have gone to a better world
May you always be happy and smiling there
But when you look down from where you are
Know there will be one heart pining for you always.
I miss you so...
When I bid you farewell
A part of me went with you
I felt I had nowhere to go and nothing to do
But today I feel you with me and you will be in my heart forever.
I love you so...
No-one can even take your place
It was a special bond we shared
Maybe sometime we meet again
In different forms, in different lives
We will recognise this bond and continue from where we left.
Oh Fluffy, I love you so, I miss you so...
Life is for the living
The dead are buried and gone
Pine and cry for them we may
But life goes on and on...
Cold and callous it feels today
But such is a fact of life
No one dies with the dead they say
Yet life goes on and on...
Cruel it may seem for the heart
Harsh it may sound to the ears
That dear ones mourn and condole a while
Then life goes on and on...
A part of us dies with a dear one’s death
We then feel it is a transitory world
We realize the futility of all around
But the wheel of life moves along
So life goes on and on...
There is no time to even grieve
For the loved ones today
To make both ends meet for some
Is the harsh reality of the day
And so life must go on and on...
To complete the dear ones dreams and wishes
Get back into the grind we must
There is no luxury to sit back and cry
For life has to go on and on...
Eventuality of everything we do come to realize
With the sudden shock of bereavement
Momentarily we even tend to philosophize
But soon life goes on and on...
Pain remains in our hearts for sure
Turning into fond memories through
The passage of time a love so pure
Soon we immerse into our daily chores and duties
And life goes on and on...
If you both were alive today
It would be a celebration day.
It is a day I always remember
Day 15, Month October.
Married you would be for 70 years
Life filled with joy and some tears.
We celebrated with you 60th Anniversary
You danced together and were merry.
For the 70th you are still together
In a world which is perhaps even better.
We miss you everyday
But today is a special day.
We know that you are happy together
We pray you bless us now and forever.
Will you miss me when I go
No l do not ever think so
Who has the time to think of you
There are too many important things to do.
One day to come to condole you will
For a day you may be sad still.
No one dies with the dead they say
“Rest In Peace” for them they pray
Life goes on it has to move
People to work hard, so to improve.
Where is the time for “late” and past tense
When present and future is not making sense.
So miss not much anyone can
As there is no time to fit this in their plan.
So do not expect to be remembered for long
A chance maybe of a photo on the wall when gone!
Dad why did you not wait for one more day
You knew that I was on my way.
One last hug, one flying kiss
Is one that I will always miss.
You were my hero you always will be
I was your princess for the world to see.
You were a special man loved by all
Ready to help others if anyone would just call.
Problems of others you would gladly cart
Always generous with a big heart.
Kind, caring, soft & gentle are qualities you possessed
Would attract all to bring out their best.
You were a noble soul
You were our strength and our guide.
We hope to follow your footsteps
And by your principles we abide.
To bid you farewell on your final journey to a higher plane
Your children, your friends & all you held dear
Have come from far and near.
We cherish your life and will follow your teachings
and your advice
Dad you had a great innings, lead a wonderful life.
You will depart like a king to meet your loved one
Our dear mom and your wonderful wife.
May Waheguruji bless you and keep you in his care
May you be happy and bless us from up there.
Dad we love you and will always miss you.
Mom I miss you
I don’t know what to do.
I pick up the phone to talk to you
Then realize the phone won’t go through
To where you are in your world new
Maybe you will be missing me a little too.
The vacuum you created only grew
With Dad following to be with you.
We are left to fend for ourselves though
I know one day we will also be with you.
Till then Mom O Mom I miss you
I really don’t know what to do!
You came from Heaven
You held my hand
When I look around
Beside me you stand.
I could feel the warmth
I could feel your tender touch
I kissed your head and hugged you tight
And said ‘‘I love you so much’’.
I know this is not a dream
I know this is for real
One may not believe but
The signs for me are clear.
For when I woke up and turned around
A few teardrops on the pillow I found.
Two years ago, you left us all
Without a word or even a call.
You lay in bed – a few months and more
Your eyes would speak the pain you would endure.
Dad would always be by your side
With tears that he still tries to hide.
Tend to your every need he would –
And look for just a little smile if you could.
Your children too were there for you
But had their roles in their families too.
Surely you knew this all along
So never complained or even frowned.
A silent tear we had sometimes seen
A sole reminder of what you had been.
A strong personality but always caring
Forever patient with our endless complaining.
Slowly we saw you wilt away
Sadly could not put eventuality at bay.
Perhaps it was time for you to bloom again
Bloom into the garden of the unseen world.
Free from the bondage you are for sure
Relieved eventually from the pain you bore.
One thing today to you has to be told
My love for elders has grown multifold.
Compassion and respect now is beyond measure
To meet these Young hearts is such a pleasure.
They are all so gentle, loving and kind
In all their beautiful faces
Your face is all I find.
I know you are on a higher plane today
Watching and blessing us every single day.
Mom – if I had but one more chance I’d say
I love you loads and miss you every day!
The great day by God’s grace has at last arrived
When sixty years ago
Mom and Dad became husband and wife
Sixty years filled with sharing
Six decades filled with caring
There is just no comparing
To a life filled with love and understanding.
Their happiness lies in sharing all in life
Sharing trials and triumphs joys and problems too
They know they will be together
Whether days are grey or bright
Sharing all the little things that make their daily life.
A journey through sixty years
Stories full of achievements
Dad, a leader, philanthropist and advisor to his peers
A selfless man with a generous heart
Solving problems that others can’t
Respected in the community for his precious advice
Always known to be kind and nice.
Mom is the force and his support behind
Caring for her home yet always by his side
Mom and Dad like two wheels of any train
Together you move this family train
Paving the way for us, your children to follow
Teaching us not to be superficial or shallow.
You are the diamonds in our lives
Whose luster is simply the best
You shine from afar and stand out from the rest
In the three C’s of diamonds your colour is blue - rare
Clarity loop clean and a cut above the rest
So perfectly matched as a pair.
It is our greatest happiness to have you today
As “shining” examples of Mom and Dad
May you always be there with your hands over our heads
And your luster lost never
For it is not for nothing they say “Diamonds are forever”.
May this diamond anniversary soon turn to platinum
May you have the heavenly joy of more great grandchildren
May your love grow even more today
Good health, happiness be your way
For all this and more together we shall pray
Today on your diamond wedding anniversary day.
For my parents 60th Anniversary
