Break out the bananas because the heat is on…as Allen and Chris discuss the Beverly Hills Cop series and focus on what the 3rd (and so far, final) chapter gets so horribly wrong.

The first two Beverly Hills films, show off all the qualities that made Eddie Murphy a star: smart, cool, likeable and brilliantly funny, the character of Axel Foley was all of these ….but by 1994 Murphy was a forlorn figure in search of a hit. Beverly Hills Cop 3 was not that hit.

We discuss John Landis’ directing style and the most brutal put down of Eddie Murphy’s career (some horrific context here). How we crave Cox… Ronny Cox! How we love Brest!....Martin Brest! How we love Johns…. John Ashton (ok, that one wasn’t very good)! Fishing with Foley, confusing criminal plans and Chris' strange childhood love of Judge Reinhold and Bronson Pinchot.
