Soul Crab ATL is the first of two seafood places we’re going to this week, so get ready. This is Seafood Southern style and their menu boasts seafood by the pound and 20 different appetizers including a flight of Mac and Cheese. Who can say no to that?

In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday today, we'll be kicking off the week with one of many #BlackOwned restaurants, starting at The Urban Foodie Feed Store at 3841 Main Street in College Park.

It’s bohemian southern cuisine focusing on local, seasonal, organic ingredients. They partner with Metro Atlanta Urban Farm, which provides gardening and agricultural training to ensure that families learn to feed themselves and promote urban agriculture. How cool is that?

UPDATE 01-21-2020: Unfortunately I just learned that The Urban Foodie Feed Store has very recently closed its doors permanently! This is why we all need to get out an support your small, locally owned businesses. Especially ones who have such a great mission.

Sunday night you're going to Zesto. Who are we kidding, you’re still hungover. Better get a Chubby Decker and milkshake at Zesto. This Little 5 Points institution opened in 1967 and has been featured in the TV show, Atlanta, so basically you’re required to check it out if you’re going to live in the ATL.

The Corner Tavern in Little 5 Points is a great place to grab dinner before a show at The Variety Playhouse or the Star Bar. Their menu features standard sandwiches, to frankly insane burgers like The Tavernator which features, a burger, ham, turkey, bacon, two different kinds of cheese, carmelized onions, BBQ sauce and a fried egg. If you eat it, let me know if you survived the night.

The Porter Beer Bar menu boasts over 800 beers and they were also Voted Best Bar Food by Creative Loafing. They have frequently rotating and inventive specials on their menu featuring traditional bar food all made with fresh ingredients

The Wrecking Bar is a really cool restaurant at the bottom level of a historic, refurbished Victorian home right on Moreland. They brew their own beer and have a variety of rotating taps and a delicious seasonal menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. They offer valet parking but street parking is also available along Austin Ave if you’re cheap like me.

It’s Wednesday, you’re going to team trivia at the Brewhouse. It's at 401 Moreland Ave, one of the corners of the 5 points intersection. This was Atlanta’s classic soccer and rugby bar, even before we had a soccer team. From British style fish and chips to shrimp and bacon tacos, they will hook you up. They have a small parking lot and there’s usually street parking available as well.

Well we can’t talk about Little 5 without talking about The Vortex. It’s doorway is a giant skull, y’all. You can’t miss it. It’s a restaurant and bar with a surly attitude, and walls filled with indie art, old car parts and other weird crap. Many say it has the best burgers in Atlanta but leave the kids with a babysitter folks, because this joint is 21 and up.

It’s Monday, guys, let’s grab some Pizza. We’re going Savage Pizza tonight. The comic themed décor and fresh hand tossed pizza with made from scratch dough and sauces are just what you need to kick off a busy workweek. They offer free parking and they’re located between Junkman’s Daughter and Little 5 Pharmacy.

Ray's in the City is an upscale setting for seafood, prime cuts & an extensive wine list. They even offer validated parking in the Americasmart parking deck, or take MARTA and get there via Peachtree Center station. One caveat though – they close at 9pm on Sundays, so you guys better get a move on.
