Jennifer C. Parker, MSSW, LCSW Author, Blogger, Presenter and so much more!
Sitting down with Jennifer was a true privilege. She gets it, she understands it and I found myself nodding to EVERYTHING she said during this episode. She is a light in the very dark world of domestic abuse and coercive control.

I was fortunate enough to sit down and talk with the inspirational Lee Cooper.
Lee is a photographer, writer, and founder using art to challenge silence and shift culture.
Through his project Victorious Voices, he creates space for CSA survivors to be seen, heard, and represented on their own terms. From portraiture to storytelling, his work centres visibility, dignity, and the quiet power of reclaiming narrative.

NEW SEASON! And what a season it will be....
I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with the magnificent, Michelle John Founder of PEGS. Her aim is to reduce the impact of CPA by helping parents, training frontline professionals, impacting policy and raising awareness.
"Child to Parent Abuse is where a child (of any age) displays repeated abusive behaviours towards a parental figure. This abuse may be physical, verbal, economic, digital, coercive or even sexual - and it's thought to occur in at least 3% of UK homes, although the real figure could be much higher.
CPA is not 'normal' challenging behaviour experienced by most parents. It causes parents to feel fearful, isolated and like they're treading on eggshells, forces them to leave their careers and change their routines and lifestyles, and has a profound impact on families." https://www.pegsupport.co.uk/
Dr Aysha has so many roles, I couldn't fit them all in the title!
She is Founder & Director, Aasha Consulting, Independent Researcher, UN Women UK, CSW68 & 6, GlobalG100 Panelist, Trainer, Specialist, Domestic Violence & Minority Communities, Researcher at SOAS and Visiting Lecturer.
I have waited so long for this conversation! When I started DIP in and Out with Lucy, my main aim was to ensure that everyone was included in the conversation around domestic abuse.
Sadly, this is not always the case in society. BAME community, minority communities are overlooked or misunderstood. This episode - I hope goes some way in changing that!
Thank you Dr Aysha!

Sandra and I share a passion - we both know the importance of speaking out about the challenges and impact post-separation abuse has on individuals.
"Just knowing you're not imagining this, that it's a thing and these are common patterns of behaviour......"

You may think this seems like an odd pairing for a conversation around domestic abuse....but take a listen and you'll see why this is a conversation you need to hear!
