Direct Input Podcast

This episode was tracked upstairs at Ralph's Rock Diner prior to doors opening at Metal Thursday #358 with Immolation, Outer Heaven, Desolate and Summoning Hate. Join me as I roam around admist the sound check. Hear me yuck it up with members of Desolate, Immolation and several fans who are amped to see the show that night. Immolation wasn't notified at all about this interview other than the short briefing you'll here me give, so not only are they awesome for being real enough to answer questions, they're also the shit for keeping me in my place. It's probably my most startling fan boy interview to date and I hope you enjoy the cringe.

Brian and John both of the infamous band, Drive By Bukkake stop by Ralph's Rock Diner to hype up their latest gimmick entitled Crucial Loads. We talk about a variety of subjects while maintaining a clear and present level of stupidity. Obviously professional wrestling comes up as we reflect at their undisputed reign with Neckbreak Podcast, which is now coming to an sad end.

This a premier fire side chat episode. Mike Shea ran a Patriots Fan blog called Patskrieg and is a life long Massachusetts native, who grew up in the hardcore and metal scenes. It just so happened that this dude, who's also my fantasy football commissioner, got booked on goddamn edgeday-he's like the only one I know still at it. We talk about the Massacusetts scene from the early part of the century and eventually get to a pretty extensive discussion about football, the deflategate controversy and sports in general. Along the way we discuss why Trump's presidency is related to professional wrestling and how Tom Brady is really just John Cena. I even included an appearance from my neighbor who shows up after hitting a deer with his car.

Every once and awhile I attend a show without knowing anything at all about any of the bands. This is one of those shows, so here were are at Metal Thursday #355. Roaming nomad interviews like this are unpredictable as fuck. OFF WORLD sound checked at the last minute and that shows up viciously at the end of this. It's like you're really there, listening to Accept - Eat the Heat.

Details include bbqing at our wedding party, tree house brewery in charlton, dunkirk, plus a recap of recently past episodes that went down and several others that didn't pop off.

Far away in the desolate madness of Michigan, you'll find a brillant Black Thrash Metal band that is an American treasure. Their name is Sauron and they are one of the baddest 3 pieces to emerge from this rotten continent since the year 2000. This episode features the band as they are set to appear on the eve of destruction as the headliner for Metal Thursday #349 . Get swept away by the roar of the industrial fan as we address a variety of topics such as disappointing Judas Priest albums, the Detriot Lions, How to Drop Off a Tour Without Looking Like Assholes, and a certain particular Michigan past time activitity of peeing on Marshall cabs. Sauron is rotten and ready to cast absolute hell with black sorcery, as their twisted metal brains summon blood for a savage blade, with one foot in the grave on a conquest of attrition.

Matt O'Dette is a former radio DJ for the Nasty Habits radio program which used to be on 88.9 WERS (Emerson College/Boston, Massachusetts). The Nasty Habits program started in 1983 and was a critical source of Metal and Hardcore for thousands upon thousands of listeners in the greater Boston area for over 20 years. Just prior to his band Cynicism making their debut at Metal Thursday #348, we discuss the current state of Death Metal. Feel the roar the Ralph's industrial fan as we preach about the virtues of a pre-digital scene as well as the abundance of Metal in New England. A big hearty CHEERS! to the fellas in Cynicism for hooking me up with a 24 oz. can of their own beer entitled, 'Justifiable Hopicide' which was brewed in Newton, MA at Hopsters.
