What if there was a roadmap to access your true self? A way to interpret the signs that lead the way to your life's work, to fulfillment and satisfaction a la your own personal style?
There is.
We start super basic, with what you like, what you don't like, and how to begin honoring your likes and dislikes.
Because we go against our grain too easily, and that buries the quiet voice of our soul.
Want to hear your soul speak more loudly? Start to pay close attention to what you like to do— and how often you actually do the things you like to do. And what you simply can't stand doing — and how often you force yourself to do those things.

This is the disclaimer portion where we remind listeners to do their own due diligence, and that Maia is not a doctor or therapist and that you are a responsible adult, who is capable of knowing when to stop listening and when to seek professional support and help.
We're talking craving, yearning, and longing.
Are those habits of wanting keeping us from getting them, from achieving, from experiencing what we actually have?
Or are some of those cravings actually deep soul yearnings?
And how can you tell the difference between a lofty and true soul desire and old patterns of lack making themselves known over and over again?

When the same old miserable patterns dog us repeatedly. How to make sense of it? How to hit the refresh button and actually release ourselves from re-living our past mistakes over and over again?
And when those hidden patterns are firmly in our blindspot, it can seem like an unsolvable mystery. But it never is. Today we talk about following those patterns back to their root, and finding ways to refresh and reset in the midst of this crazy life.
Talk about finding moments of respite, which are all too few in this modern life, but which we so sorely need and so definitely deserve.

We’re definitely not taught to listen to our intuition, to trust our gut. So, how to work up the nerve to tune in and trust that there's an actual inner voice sending us messages?
But, what if we could learn how to access our inner compass and from there discover our personal life path?
It’s a sure-fired way to release ourselves from ever feeling helpless, and shift into becoming the creator of our life experience.
And it’s the only real way to rescue ourselves from the vagaries of life, and to make our lives really our own.
Note: Dirt Road Less Travelled, the radio show, is no longer on the air, but this podcast is continuing on into the glorious indefinite future.

Are you always choosing other people over your own life’s work? Whether it’s art or entrepreneurship or simply doing whatever you damn well please for a day, how often do you refuse yourself and honor other people, instead?
Do you actually need to neglect somebody else to get your real life's work done??
Is co-dependence a spiritual or energetic imbalance that once you correct it, you can tend to your life's dreams and also be respectful of other people's needs?
Riffing on this idea, after a bad week of giving myself away, and then reading an article by Claire Dederer in The Paris Review, “What Do We Do With the Art of Monstrous Men?”, we go a bit into rant mode about putting yourself first. (I mispronounce "Dederer" in the podcast, please forgive me, Claire, I'm a huge fan and I have learned!)
How do we find our way back to ourselves? Are you ready to do whatever it takes?

My guest, Dr. Jenna Vincent, and I are talking about her Good Girl Graveyard, getting off-track (from letting dreams die to eating disorders and suicidal urges) and rediscovering yourself — and unleashing your true self onto the world.
Your true self that isn't a good girl or boy or a bad girl or boy, but who expresses the light side of things and unapologetically integrates the shadow.
Jenna an Alignment Activator, Sex and Money Shaman, Kinesiologist, Brand Witch, and Good Girl Assassin. She loves to talk to women about increasing pleasure, money and confidence, and so much more.
And we talk reinvention.
This is the show where I announced my new last name, Wilde, which felt like such a risk and yet, here I am, having totally forgotten I even ever needed to unveil it!
So, a big yes, to permission to reinvent yourself at absolutely any time.

How do we see ourselves, fully, clearly, and without a lens that obscures who we really are?
Because it almost seems like all we are is an accumulation of our worst experiences, the bad habits we’ve acquired over a lifetime of trying to make up for a generalized sense of unworthiness, and all our old family baggage.
So, how to uncover the true you?
Sit in stillness.
Await a message.
Recognize the truth.
Getting skillful at interpreting your own mixed messages and overcoming your natural resistance to feeling discomfort is the name of today’s game!

Note: I curse in this episode, be forewarned.
Your intuition will tell you to do crazy, socially unacceptable things. You will not want to do it. Your inner people pleaser will leap up to make everybody feel comfortable. And you will live to regret it.
Your intuition is not neurotic, over-thinking, worried. That’s your good, little people-pleaser.
Your intuition is emboldened. Fierce. Free. Willing to risk.
Which would you rather live from?
Leading question, I know …
Let’s talk about embodying your higher self, owning your intuition, and boldly taking the gravity-defying leap across the great divide between socially acceptable, co-dependent, people-pleasing, and what you’re actually meant to be doing with your life.

Let’s face it, you want to be amazing and feel fantastic. But it’s also super easy to snap back into the “old you”.
Because if you stop to think about it, you’re actually uncomfortable at that next level. You’re not always high-vibe, and sometimes you wonder if you even want to be.
This is totally normal. We've all got inner saboteurs, aspects of ourself that don't want to feel better or be amazing.
So, you've gotta push back to make it all the way to the next elevation.
You have to figure out how to actively experience what it feels like to be the new you, and how to maintain this next level until your brain, your energetic body, your emotions, and your neurology buy in fully and make this new level habitual.
Let's keep it light and playful while talking about some serious s**t.

Talking about the difference between feeling broken … and being broken open. Open to healing, to deeper feeling, to more connection, and true transformation.
We’re covering some of the externals that all of us humans have to deal with (the stuff), and how that relates to what’s going on in our internal landscape.
And wondering why some people seem to just run free, while some of us struggle to make that happen.
Reading from Elizabeth Lesser’s book Broken Open: How Difficult Times Can Help Us Grow and Ice Bound: A Doctor's Incredible Battle For Survival At the South Pole, by Dr. Jerry Neilsen, and talking about cleaning out my guy’s parents’ house in a heat wave … and I was given the task of emptying out the attic during a massive heat wave.
