Looks like the “Red Wave” is actually just a ketchup smear at Mar a Lago. We’re still waiting on the results of the Arizona and Nevada Senate races. No surprise that the Georgia Senate race is going to a run off on Dec 6. And while the Republicans are on track to control the House, their margin will be very slim. Mehmet Oz and John Fetterman squared off last night in their only debate in the Pennsylvania Senate debate of the campaign. While Oz smirked and sleazed, Fetterman stumbled and sputtered raising serious questions about his health and capacity to serve as the next senator from the Keystone debate. Though the debate generated more heat than light, this pivotal contest, which will likely determine which party controls the senate, made for a one hour exchange which was nothing if not discomfiting.

Ethan Chorin is a former US diplomat, political analyst, environmental entrepreneur, and author of the stunning Benghazi! A New History of the Fiasco that Pushed America and its World to the Brink .From 2004 to 2006, he was one of a handful of US diplomats posted to Libya in the wake of rapprochement with Colonel Gaddafi. Six years later, as co-director of an NGO, he became a witness to the Benghazi attack and its aftermath.

Despite hundreds of hours of Congressional hearings, a deep dive into Hillary Clinton’s personal email, and the trial of two suspects (ultimately acquitted), there are many unanswered questions about what happened in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.  Until now.

Democrats and Republicans agree on little when it comes to Benghazi, or we’ll, anything these days, but both sides are likely to find themselves feeling vindicated by some of Chorin’s revelations and conclusions, while strongly contesting others.

Fascist, Trumplican candidates like Mehmet Oz, Kari Lake, J.D. Vance, and Herschel Walker are simultaneously being discredited and continuing to ascend because of inflation. Inflation remains high at 8.2%. We've all heard this number. And despite knowing democracy is in peril, voters can't afford basic necessities - meats, poultry, fish and eggs are up 9% ; fruits and vegetables are up 10.4% ; electricity is up 15.5% ; utility gas service is up 33.1% ; airline fares are up 42.9% ahead of holiday travel ; and rent is up 7.2%.

Both Trump and Biden's administration passed a combined necessary $4 Trillion in pandemic aid. OPEC cut oil production while gas companies continue to price gouge. Global supply chains continue to be choked by international upheaval, including Putin's war in Ukraine and China's threat of war. We have no choice: we must save democracy here at home in order to save it globally while also combating inflation at the same time. But we can only achieve these two things at once with the right people in power. MAGA fascists don't care about inflation and don't want democracy.
