Brian C Thomas interviews Dr. Peggy Elliott of Peggy Elliott Ministries on the topic of the epidemic of abortion in the black community.
Minster, author, teacher and conference speaker, Dr. Peggy Elliott is a woman of God, filled with the Holy Spirit and ministers to the whole person. In 1994 she founded The Balm of Gilead Ministries. The new ministry name is Peggy Elliott Ministries.
Thirty-five years ago, Elliott accepted Christ as her personal Savior. Her heart's desire was to learn all she could about being used by God and this acquired knowledge, gathered over a number of years, became her springboard for understanding the calling and gifts upon her life. Elliott recognized a generational blessing upon her life as an intercessor, a spiritual prayer warrior.
Another calling on Elliott's life is the healing and deliverance ministry, being used by God to set the captives free. As a gifted teacher, Elliott developed a training institute for the purpose of equipping the Body of Chirst and assisting in the activation of individuals in becoming who God created them to become, as they find a tangible place of ministry and live out their call.
Though a native of St. Paul, MN, Elliott has resided in Wichita, KS for the past six years, marrying a Wichitonian, Kevin Elliott. Through much prayer and fasting, she felt led of God to expand her ministry to become citywide. Due to the number of young lives being lost to gang violence, and its impact on families, churches and communities, Elliott developed a citywide ministry called Stop the Violence Wichita.and evanglism teams called The God Squad.
Three years ago, Elliott was introduced to the prolife ministry. Elliott learned that the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, began the agency for the purpose of Black genocide - getting rid of Black Americans.
It became evident that the sanctity of life was a call Elliott had to take on as a ministry, with the purpose of educating people, targeting the African American about the abortion problem and assisting with re-establishing the value of life in and outside the womb.
In 1994, she responded to the call to become the Prayer Pastor in St. Paul for a 3,500 member church. She was a radio interviewer along with Alex Haley, the infamous director of the award winning movie Roots. She served on the Billy Graham Executive Committee and has participated in ministry areas of leadership with Ann Graham-Lotz, Luis Palau, The National Day of Prayer, and many other ministries. Dr. Elliott has been a missionary to South Africa, Argentina and Haiti.
