We read this book for book club thinking it would be topical but it was universally agreed that it was the worst book we had ever read & even after reading it we still couldn't understand what it was about.

Loved it.

Funny, inventive and compelling. I've seen Dixon's plays and was intrigued to read this novel -- was one of the best books of the year.
