Excellent pace and great for tutors or students

Would you consider the audio edition of 99 Essential Business Idioms and Phrasal Verbs to be better than the print version?

I definitely would, as my students are able to listen to the idioms from home. This makes my tutoring job easier. When they come to me for lessons, they are better with the basics so we can move onto more complicated English lessons.

What about Zhanna Hamiltons performance did you like?

The narrator had a great pace, which is suitable for beginners and lower intermediate students.

This is a great audio book for ESL tutors, or students that want to learn English on their own. For me, the audiobook has already paid for itself by making my tutoring job easier.

This audio book makes me very sleepy. Not recommended while driving.

Maybe. If I can not sleep at night. This audiobook is better than lullaby.

The narrator seems sleepy too. Perhaps a little more enthusiastic narrator that not only reads but feels every word. Need to give life in every examples.

Yes, it has very useful chapters that I need to review again. Some exercises that help to understand why I have a full inbox and also some tips on how to keep it empty.

Maybe GTD, however that discusses more the what and not the how.

Eh... not what I was expecting.

This book was good, but not really what I was expecting. I can present in front of small groups, but have terrible public speaking anxiety. I'm now at the level where it will be a major limiting factor in my career advancement. The title made me think that this would be a book about public speaking, where in reality it was more of a business communications 101. There were definitely some interesting points, but I feel this book would be best for someone who is interested in improving their overall communication style or are early in their career.

The content is good. The delivery good Author is smart. I just thought I was going to learn more about communication styles and delivery and wasn't prepared for a sort of marketing 101 guide. It doesn't hurt to hear this information again. But not was I looked forward to

Great book for teachers...I listened to it during my hour commute to school. Every day after listening, I walked into my classroom with such a great attitude. Thanks! I'll be listening to this book again!

Highly recommend for all teachers!

I enjoyed reading this book at the beginning of my 6th school year. It reminded me of things I already try to do to keep my life balanced between work and home, and suggested other new things to try. It's only 4 hours long, so it's easy to listen through the whole thing in a few commutes to and from work. Fellow Teacher friends, check it out!

Regain your confidence in your teaching ability

I especially related to chapter 5 which talked about the confidence or lack thereof of teachers in their own abilities. This was an excellent book for teachers to read and gain more confidence in their training and learn to take care of themselves so they are in condition to be most effective with their students.

The reader did a fine job, but again, as this is non-fiction, it is difficult to find the experience enhanced by the narration.

Because this is a non-fiction, how-to kind of leadership book, I will want to review the book in print form. It was very helpful for me to listen to it on my commute so that I could glean major principles and ideas. I'm sure for some learning styles, this will be optimal. But for me, it will be helpful to see this in print to get a visual mental imprint as well.

I prefer listening to books so that I actually finish the book. In this case, I liked it so much I had to find myself a used copy of it to have on hand. Absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend!

This is basic knowledge of setting up a classroom but way out of date. It refers to floppy discs, etc. and ways to store computer files. There isn't anything new or revolutionary here.

Helpful book. Worth the read.

The book was helpful. The author did the best that a journalist can do. It would have been better if she spent her life traveling the world and had her own perspectives rather than reporting the stories of others (which limits her own understanding). However, I understand she wrote for a newspaper for 20+ years on multicultural manners. She did do a good job, and I did learn from her findings. Combining Norine Dresser's Multicultural Manners with Terri Morrison's Kiss, Bow, or Shake Hands and a diverse range of travel experiences, and you're a pretty well-rounded individual.
