This book made me reevaluate my thinking and helped me to grow spiritually. I especially appreciated the Gospel focus throughout the book.

Important Topic, Great Comfort

This book did a great job of addressing a difficult but important topic. As a "typical American" (even though a conservative Christian), I'm often skeptical when I hear about supernatural events and things like demonic possession, but this book reminds us that the Bible says that demons are very real, so we need to be conscious of that. But the book also does a great job of showing us why we don't need to be afraid of demons: because Jesus has already won the victory over all forces of evil, by his death on the cross, and he gives us that victory through faith in him as our Savior. So we live each day with that comfort and confidence.

I very much appreciate being able to listen to the author's reading of the book! I hope the publisher will produce more audio versions of books that it has published. I for one will buy them and listen, and it will be great to get more of this valuable content out there, in a format that more and more people are using.

One point of criticism: the author/reader appeared to be over-enunciating a bit... I think a more natural reading would have been better, but still very listenable.

Also, I think the last chapter was copied a second time in this recording. Maybe that could be edited out.

Nothing new about Jesus

This was 30 minute exercise that managed to tell us who are not Fundamentalist Christians what is widely know. Specifically that the Gospels have inconsistencies among them, that the life of the historic Jesus cannot be inferred from them, that he was influenced by Eastern Philosophy, perhaps through the Essen sect of Judaism, and that the gospel authors relied on pagan mythology to create a symbol of Christo, Messiah, King Arthur, Archetypal story. He never ties this in with Christian Mystics, who are in no way represent a unified theosophy.

if you have read or listened to any of manly p halls works then this is a good purchase, if you haven't then you may not know what your in for and I suggest doing some research. as for the quality of the work itself, it is well read and the fact that it is written by manly p hall says enough for it.

Straight from the heart.

I have already written one review on this book, but apparently it did not get posted. This book is so good, I'll write another. First, it is clear that the author loves God and His word. He uses his background as educator and mentor of successful men to write the best book on leadership I have ever read. The book is well written and organized like a daily devotional that highlights and expounds biblical examples of leadership. He uses all 66 books of the Bible to give examples and principles of biblical leadership. This book is a manual for people in positions of leadership, a "how to" guide for anyone who wants to lead others by being led by God's word. I can't think of anyone, from a CEO to a teacher to a homemaker, who would not benefit from this great book. To the author I say, well done!

I've really enjoyed this book

I've really enjoyed this book. Some of the chapters seem kinda cheesy, but overall I have found it to be very useful as a daily devotional. Great that is has some reflection/journal questions, and Garrison I think does a good job with the lesson he picks. How do you choose just one lesson from a book like Genesis?

Great insight into leadship based on scripture

Dr. Garrison has put great insight into this book. I passed my copy on to my pastor. Brent is a personal friend of mine, and attended the same church as I did when we lived in Arizona. I sat under his teaching many times, and he always has such a fresh look at scripture.

Excellent book on leadership

This book takes each book of the Bible and uses it to teach a quality or characteristic necessary in business - or illustrates what not to do! It is easily used as a reference or you can read through the book one lesson after the other.

Better than most leadership books

Am acquainted with the author and the book gives wisdom that he has learned during his years of leading other organizations. Uses the Bible as reference and it is great for anyone who is any form of leadership.
