Excellent narration!

It was kind of a dramatization than narration. There was the narrator and then Darcy was voiced by Julia Motyka. I have never listened to a romance this way and I liked it. Julia made the conversations come to life because it was a woman speaking the woman's parts. Great listen.

The story is a pretty good - it has to do with a grinch and lover of Christmas that clash. It was a fun. It kept me engaged and I enjoyed how the two narrators made the book come to life.

GREAT STORY, GREAT HERO, GREAT READ

I loved this story. OMG this hero was all that and then some. The heroine is a vet running her own clinic and a no-kill shelter on the side. She loves animals. The hero is an Army bomb expert with his own K-9, Charlie. The H&h grew up together. He was her brother's best friend. Being a little older than her he always looked out for her. She had a super crush on him but he always considered her off-limits because she was like family. He liked her he just kept his hands off.

Ten years later they meet again when he returns home with his dog. Lots has happened up to this point. But, his dog has been hurt so he turns to her for help. That starts their lives coming together again. This was a really good story. Lots of good information about animals and protecting them as well as human healing after a death. The story is modern day and very good. There are 3 other buddies that are probably going to get their own story. I'm always afraid that Book 1 means the story doesn't end and you have to buy Book 2. In this case, it is just the first book in the series. There is a HEA and a good ending. No cliffhangers. I definitely recommend the book. I enjoyed every page!!

an endearing tale and great start to the series

Good Read for Jane Austen Fans

The narrator did not do the voices the way I would have pictured, but I could tell who was talking as she differentiated well. The story was good and thought provoking. I liked the quotes and references to Jane Austen books. I laughed out loud a couple of times. It seemed to take a really long time for the people to get together with only a little of them actually together at the end, but that is somewhat Jane Austenish too.

I couldn't wait to get to Mason and Bailey's story since book 1 with Arrow & Mia's story and I always enjoyed the glimpses into their lives throughout everyone else's books too. While everyone had their own rough patches and stories it was truly heartbreaking and endearing how these two kept trying to fight for 4 years and they were finally able to let go of their secrets and move forward to get their Happily Ever After.

Great new series from an old series

This was an absolutely rocking book. Michael is a guy who always had money but no parental guidance, so when he makes it with his band he becomes the partier. When at a show in Vegas he ends up with a wife and child and, and he doesn't want to end up like his parents and just quickly get out of the marriage and plus it could help his reputation. Chloe is trying to just have some fun. But can the wild weekend in Vegas be too much.

This was a fun book with a lot of cameos and many twists. Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott did another great job and this another great start to a wonderful series. Cannot wait for the next installment. I forgot how much I loved this book until I listened to it on audio and Wen Ross Ann Kai Kennicott narration made it even better. I could not stop listening. I love that you get people from other series but they keep you Wanting more.

What happens in Vegas!

Found in Oblivion is the perfect name for this spinoff series. Chloe and Michael lock eyes during one of Warning Sign's performances and now all bets are off. Their initial lust results in bed with wedding rings and no memory of how it all happened. Being a single parent, and getting over the death of Snake, Chloe is not ready for a relationship, especially with a rock star. Michael is looking for a good time, not a wife. But now that he is married, he is ready to give this a try. Will he be able to convince Chloe? With off the charts chemistry, you would think it would be easy, but there are many obstacles this couple will face. Between family, money, and lifestyles this couple will have to overcome. I love how sure Michael is with this relationship and how he craves the normalcy of a family. It's one of my favorite things with the hero when he knows what he has and is willing to fight for it. I also love the way he is with Chloe's son. Axel is so cute, it would have been impossible for him not to fall in love with the boy. The family and friend dynamic also is interesting, meeting Mal, dealing with Lila and Nick, Chloe's dad and all the band members make the story feel homey and gives dimension to the story.

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross always give an incredible performance, but I love their rock band narrations.

brought back a old story

Okay this review will show my age because I still own the paperbacks of this series, when it was first released. And I must say I was very excited to find the auto book. I just love the story of Cody and Annabel and only wish there was more than a few books in this series.

REVEALING, SEXY AND EROTIC!

This book was long and full of drama. It gave a good amount of info about the lesbian lifestyle but also revealed what the so-called "bi-sexual" female was really about. The sexual scenes were o.k. but definitely too short and only briefly described (the only thing that truly disappointed me about the book and only got it FOUR STARS).

Overall, I really enjoyed the book and think any lesbian appreciating person would also.

Good, But . . .

The plot for this book is as described elsewhere. The author certainly has a real feel for her location. Her descriptions are vivid - so much so that you can feel the sticky heat and see the ocean curling in on the beach.

However, the author does not yet have as good a talent for character development. I never got a feel for the characters that I do in, say, a Gerri Hill novel. The characters come from vastly different backgrounds, but you never got the feeling that there would be conflict - certainly a computer geek and a commodities trader would have trouble communicating outside the bedroom upon occasion. Although the author told us there was a soul-level attraction between Cody and Annabel, the reader just never felt it.

It also seemed like the author rushed the ending - here we are in the middle of a life-threatening hurricane and on the next page there's sunshine, and every one is safely home. The tension of the storm could have been a real page turner of an ending for the author.

This author has real potential to be a first-class writer of lesbian fiction. And I will read book 2 in the Moon Island series, but won't read beyond that if the character development in the second book is as shallow as this.

Passion Bay

Great story. I enjoyed the snippets of different islands, Rarotonga, NZ, and of course Passion Bay.

Loved it!

This was the truest display of destiny and love if I've ever seen one. I felt so pulled into their lives that every loss, every pain, every victory was twice as profound. Kudos to Fulton for capturing such a truly romantic story. Makes me want to find the nearest island and stay a bit. This book proves that true love is possible, and that it can survive the toughest storms.

disappointed

Struggled to finish the book. I kept listening hoping I would get drawn in to no avail. the narrators leave something to be desired. when they speak for the opposite sex it's almost cringe worthy.

Another great addition to a great series

This was a great read/listen of this series. Shayla Black has once again wrote another great story. What better story of insta love and trying to put one over on you business rival and what is supposed to be you fiancée father in law. Carson inherited his fathers company that needed money so he goes to Gregory Shaw who owns another candy company and mr Shaw offers the money if Carson marries his daughter Kendra, the problem is that neither Carson or Kendra love each other. So to get out if the deal Carson says that he is Love with some one else Ella. They the. Have to plan to show how much they love each other and try to trick Gregory Shaw, or do they really love each other.

This was a well written and did not feel rushed and it was hot and the story was for well written.

Great narration by Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers.

Should have listened to the other reviews.

I used to love Diana Palmer but this book was terrible. Hero and heroine both terrible. Hero is a jerk and heroine so weak and simple. Had to skip to the end but it didnt save it.

Tried the second book. Keep repeating PTSD so many times.... I think we got it the first 1000.

Didnt make it to the last book I couldnt take it anymore.

Diana palmers story belongs in 1980

Diana Palmers story is outdated and makes no sense. Clearly this story was written in 1980 and a few tech words were added to make it appear more modern.

Delightful

This set of three stories was entertaining. Ms. Palmer's story was a take on many of her stories and therefore became predictable. But I enjoyed it even though I expected some of the outcomes. The other two authors were new to me and their stories intrigued me. I loved the one set in Austraila. Each narrator brought life to the story. A nice experience overall.

Review for the Diana Palmer Story

The first story by Diana Palmer: This could actually be the fault of the narrator, as I haven't read the actual book. First complaint - anyone who has ever lived in St. Louis would not pronounce it as St. Louie and supposedly she was a police officer there. Second - she sounds like a whiny teenager half the time. The story isn't as bad as some of the reviews state but unfortunately, the narrator can really make or break a story.

Palmer book 3 star~McKenna 4 star Way 5 stars~

I will say this.....the Diana Palmer story was laggy and draggy. It was a chore to finish. The heroines are no longer spunky. We are so busy trying to like them it becomes tedious. And of course the hero is a bully. I like your older titles the best. 3 stars for this one.

Low angst second chance love

This was an easy listener for me. Second chance love between Bran and Cecily, who fell in love in high school and were married at 18. They got caught up in the fairy tale aspect of being in love and married so young and after cracks appeared in their relationship they went their separate ways.

However, Bran never stopped thinking of Cess and never stopped loving her. This is why he has now enrolled at College and is living in the freshman dorms that Cess is now an RA at. He has been in military service since he last saw Cecily but he feels like he is now ready to be the man she deserves.

This will not be an easy win for him though, he is going to have to prove to Cess that what they had is still there and worth fighting for.

This was low angst and sometimes I just needed to read a story like this :)
