    Title: Quantum Murder
    Author: Lesley L. Smith

    Format: Unabridged
Length: 9 hrs and 32 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 03-21-17

    Publisher's Summary:
    Can Quantum Mechanics kill?
When someone's murdered, seemingly via her discovery, physicist Madison Martin knows it's her responsibility to bring the killer to justice. Madison resumes her quantum cop role to help the local cops and the F.B.I. investigate everything from quantum panty raids to impossible heists and increasingly bizarre murders. As the q-crimes increase, she worries that reality itself is a goner.
When Madison's nearly obliterated in a quantum duel, she realizes she can't handle it by herself. But this leads to another problem: does her overworked task force include the very criminal she's trying to catch? And if so, can she take him down before it's too late?

    Enjoyable addition to the series
    Any additional comments?
A great addition to a series. This book was just as enjoyable as the first book in the series. It's a interesting, creative, humorous, fun and very entertaining story with a little mystery, intrigue and murder.
You really need to listen to the series in order to understand everything. It's worth it though. Even though there is a scientific explanation given for the "ability" it didn't matter to me, once again I just let go of all reality, sat back and enjoyed the story.
Since the discovery of Q-lapsing Madison's whole life has been turned upside down. Now she's being framed/accused of murder. She's the logical suspect. Once again to save her own skin it's going to take all her detective skills and a little help from her friends and colleagues to clear her name.
Great cast of characters. Both likable and unlikable. Madison is of coarse a great character. For someone brilliant she is a scatter brain and has no common sense at times. She's a little ADHD. That actually makes her more relatable and likable. Although this time around she seemed more scatter brain and it almost got to the point of being ridiculous. Andro is also a great character.
Meghan Kelly once again does a really good job with the narration. She has a very distinct voice that is easily recognizable. Pleasant voice that is easy to listen to for long periods of time. It's also one that people either really enjoy or completely dislike. I fall in the former category. I enjoy her narration. Clearly spoken with a nice even pace. Good character voices. Both male and female. Her voice fits the lead character Madison perfectly. She brought the story and characters to life. Very enjoyable.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and voluntarily provided this review.
    Great Series
    Any additional comments?
Quantum Murder is Book 2 in the Quantum Cop Series. Before delving into Book 2, I recommend listening to Book 1 first. The concept for the series is both interesting and original - the manipulation of reality through the application of quantum physics. When quantum crimes start up again, it's up to Madison to find the culprit.
Although I really enjoyed Quantum Murder, there were a couple of things that I found irritating. Madison's constant forgetfulness and ditzy behavior belied the fact that she was an intelligent quantum physics professor. Her boyfriend of one year was all lovey dovey one moment and rudely throwing her out of his home the next. The story itself was more complex and imaginative than its predecessor.

It's not the first book of hers I've read. It certainly won't be the last!
I certainly didn't expect the ending. But that's a good thing. LP Masters does a good job of describing the characters and their situation. At times it was if I could feel their struggle. It's not the first book of hers I've read. I'm sure it won't be the last. :)
WOW! What a great short story!
I don't usually read short stories, but this one just caught my eye. I was not disappointed! Great character development of the protagonist and a story line that just screams turn me into a full-length book!
    Five Stars

    Genres: Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Sci-Fi: Contemporary
    Publisher's Summary:
In 2030, human civilization is faced with almost certain extermination. Weather patterns have become more extreme. Super storm after super storm pops up without warning. Some cities and even some smaller nations have become uninhabitable. Some say it is a man-made issue, others claim it is natural. To those losing family members, to those whose lives are destroyed, it doesn't matter what caused it, they only care about how to make it stop.
The public is demanding action. In the US, politicians are under pressure to act swiftly. Conservationist groups lobby for ending the use of fossil fuels, while corporate interests lobby for retaining full exploitation of fossil resources.
A scientist named Emma Hallbar offers a solution to climate change that offers humanity a lifeline. She dedicates her life to finding a way to control the environment so that all humans can live a life free of these unpredictable climactic temper tantrums. The result is the largest space program as well as the most unified global effort in history.
Human nature creates unforeseen conflicts on a scale that have globally tragic effects. Just when she thinks that she has the whole thing under control, a terrorist strike threatens to take it all away. Can Doctor Hallbar save humanity from Mother Nature as well as human kind's interpersonal struggles?
Can a chaotic system as complex as the climate of an entire planet be influenced by man at all? Can she find a way to make that influence positive? Can she control the weather well enough to stop the tragedies that are destroying the lives of millions of people?
Saving the Earth is the first in a series by Optical Society of America Fellow Devon G. Crowe and number-one best-selling author Timothy Imholt. It is a highly entertaining, fast-moving first step into a series of novels that contain events that threaten the future existence of humans as the dominant species on Earth.

    Saving the earth
If you could sum up Saving the Earth in three words, what would they be?
This book addresses very real problems. Finding a workable solutions so that we can live to debate other issues would be helpful.. I look forward for more.

    Saving the Earth
This was a good story although David Loving, the narrator, read it WAY too fast.Since it was not on my iPod,I could not adjust that.He also needs to work on his characters. Some were voiced well, some just read really fast.Global warming and 'why' are addresses in this fast based story. There are even solutions posited.Abrupt ending leads probably into a new book.I was provided this book by the author, narrator or publisher.
    Important, pay attention
What made the experience of listening to Saving the Earth the most enjoyable?
Especially since the beginning of the new administration's attacks on the truth, the story is more of a prediction that can actually happen even sooner than the author suggests. Let's hope that we smarten up before we are in the stories dire situation.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Turn off a damn light while you still can.

    Cleaning the Atmosphere
Could it be that one of our ice ages wasn't planned but the work of aliens whose good intentions had been to clear the atmosphere of pollutants? That's the premise of Book 2 of the Alex Cave series. Although it builds on the events in Book 1, these adventures can be read as standalone, since pertinent characters and locations are reintroduced appropriately. A fair amount of Perils of Pauline action leads to an enjoyable frolic through the author's imagination. I am LISTENING to this series [AUDIO] and the superb narration adds to the drama and immediacy of the tale. This story would work well on the wide screen, too.
The Energy Series -a thriller of Energetic Science
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This audiobook series TOPS my recommendations. It's science and sci fi and a fully developed and delivered diverse plotline.
Have you listened to any of Paul J. McSorleys other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've only listened to Paul McSorley as he narrates Corkill's books. I listened to him in the first book and will follow him through the series
    Any additional comments?
This is an excellent second book in the series. I think Mr Corkill should offer tidbits of the Dead adventure without mentioning the book directly. He explains enough to gleam the highlights, as needed, to relate the characters to one another. The way he mentions the first book is misleading that the books should be read in order. (Except 2 before 3, as it's a continuation). His life in the CIA was pre-Energy and seems to be slowly revealed as the series unfold.
My biggest quirk with the series are the weak female characters who seem to always throw themselves at the men (not just at Alex Cave, but any man). It really deteriorates the otherwise strongly built characters. Thus the missing star.
The moments are brief, but disappointing.
The multiple scenes overlap and strengthen the subplots and plot.
Did I miss the update on Christa?
Mr McSorley is a dynamic narrator choice for this series. His voice complements the author's work.
    Adventure! Suspense! Excitement!
What did you love best about Cold Energy?
Good book. Kept me entertained throughout the entire book.
Who was your favorite character and why?
As with the first book, Alex Cave is the man!
What about Paul J. McSorleys performance did you like?
Paul did a great job with the first book in this series and with 'Cold Energy' he did not disappoint!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
    Lots of excitement.

Space epic version of the Roman Empire
The story is reminiscent of the Roman empire. The empire spans the galaxy The emperor is on his deathbed there is no clear heir. Now in the outer reaches the empire has invaded yet another planet. This time they run up against a very stubborn group. Epic battle is in ground, epic space battles and all told from a gritty front row view. Very well written and well narrated.
    Two great themes (coming together
Two great themes (lost of innocence) and (coming of age) meet sci-fi. Great performance with character voicings. The story plot keep me wondering what would happen to the characters.

No Favorite scene this whole book was great I am looking for it to be a great series and I'm a fan for sure.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Early in the book one of the main character dies, I feel for the family and since I have lost a loved one I could imagine the pain the others feel during this time.
    Any additional comments?

Felt like listening to an old time radio show
The End of The Innocent was interesting in that it started out like listening to an old time radio show or broadcast. I don't think this was intentional. The facts of the case of an alien invasion were laid out and the coverage continued throughout the war and peacetime. There is a story in there about a family who is torn apart and then reunited through the war. The story takes place over a very long time and focuses a lot of the exposition on how things are, both on world and off, in the great galactic empire.
As the story moves forward, the personal story of the family begins to take the forefront of the narrative and it becomes more personal.
All this said, it is worth a listen. the story itself is good and creative. the lives lived throughout the story are interesting and you find yourself wanting to know what is going to happen to this family. it pulls you in.
I received a free copy of this audiobook and have left a voluntary review.

    Holy smokes what an ending!
The narrator, Marissa Clay, brought Alicia Michaels words alive. She left me with a pounding in my chest and a strong, overwhelming desire to join the Resistance. This storyline is incredible. Alicia Michaels knows how to put you front and center with the action. The raw emotion emanates from these characters and Ms. Clay evoked each and everyone one.
    Great Sequel
Would you consider the audio edition of The Resistance to be better than the print version?
Only have listened not read, but I prefer audiobooks, as the characters come to life in a new way.
What other book might you compare The Resistance to and why?
There were references to a 'flame' and the resistance 'igniting' and 'catching fire'. Oftentimes I found myself noticing the similarities between The Resistance and the Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire.
What about Marissa Clays performance did you like?
I enjoy listening to a narrator that can seamlessly transfer voices, both male and female. Marissa Clay's performance was so well done that I often forgot that it was a female offering the narration of the story.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
    Hope lies with the Resistance
    Any additional comments?
This was a great sequel to the original bionics book. It was more sexually and violently graphic than the first book, but the scenes were necessary to the story line and did not detract in any way.
This audio book was graciously provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review
    Great addition to the series
    Any additional comments?
This is a series that is worth your time. Very entertaining, engaging and enjoyable.
Great continuation of the story. This installment pulled me in from the start just as the first book did. This book is packed full of action, suspense and intrigue with so many twists you're never sure what is going to happen next. This is not a stand alone book, you need to start at the beginning to understand all that is going on in the story.
What will our world be like in 2000 years? Think of all the advancements in the last 100 years. With all the leaps in modern technology it could very well resemble a scenario similar to this story in some ways.

One of my favorite series ever!
You know how sometimes you put off the last part of a book because it's so good you can't stand for it to end? Well I did that with this one. I sat on the last 30 mins for 3 days before finishing it! Yes, it's that good.
Do yourself a favor & read or listen to this series. I'm hoping it becomes a movie or TV series so I can be one of he ones who say 'I read it before anyone else did!'
Thank you David for being so brilliant & such a wonderful writer. Your use of words to describe things blew me away so many times. Your way of looking at the human spirit was beautiful. I can only say that I will miss the friends I made on this 3 book journey and I will think of these characters for the rest of my life. I will be recommending this series to any & everyone.
    conclution not to missed
Orah and Nathaniel are back from their travel in hopes of bringing new and better things but what they find is chaos. They hoped to bring a great light what they instead brought was darkness and war, but what can they do, and how can their new tech help them to avoid the bloodshed?
This is a wonderful series it can be fun in so many ways but also deep and make you think, and narrator Erin deWard plays the different parts so well you will find yourself lost in their world. There is a lot of action, and suspense for sure. But three young adults who will lead their world into peace or war, depending on how things work out but are ready for each, as I teen I was ready to go to war but I never had to make the decision to send people to war and I know I could not have made that decision. But in their world they have already seen and endured so much, it is a story not to be missed.
Perfect conclusion to a great series
    Any additional comments?
Very satisfying conclusion to this complex yet simple story. Really enjoyed this whole series. This book is just as well written, entertaining and enjoyable as the previous installments in the series. The whole series has been creative, original, thought provoking and worth every minute.
Balance is needed in every society. The Greenies, The Techies, The Dreamers all learned this the hard way.
Orah, Nathaniel and Thomas started out as Children of Darkness in the only world they had ever known.
