Publisher's Summary:
Full of daring theories and fascinating tales from the world of Ice and Fire, Dragons of Westeros: A Critical Look at the Beasts of Game of Thrones provides a riveting account of the origins and mysteries of dragons in A Song of Ice and Fire. Drawing on the wealth of fantasy literature to differentiate George R.R. Martin's beasts from those of other authors, this audiobook explores how the dragons came to be, what caused their disappearance in the first place, and what not so obvious repercussions will their revival bring to Westeros.
A perfect gift for fans of the TV show, as well as the audiobook series, Dragons of Westeros: A Critical Look at the Beasts of Game of Thrones serves as both an introduction, and an accompaniment to the existing media. If you want to find out how the World of Ice and Fire came to be, or what might happen next, this is the place to be!

Dragons...... absolutely fascinating. ...
Dragons......absolutely fascinating. To find out where they came from and what happened through history. I have always wanted to know about their story. GOT requires that you know the history of many ideas ti understand the stories. This book does it!
I'm very glad I didn't pay for this...
... it was free via Kindle Unlimited.
This "book" is not at all true to its subtitleâwhich states that it is: "A Critical Look at the Beasts of Game of Thrones".
It is simply a hodge-podge of material lifted from various sources such as: the first five books of ASOIAF and more recently published work,"The World of Ice and Fire". Additionally, the author throws in descriptions of some scenes (those which included the dragons ) from the TV series (ending at the conclusion of Season 6).
I'm surprised that this even exists. When one considers how closely this "Critical Look" resembles plagiarism. The author plays the game many students sadly become adept at & continue right into their adult lives: representing that which is supposed to be their original work, while in reality it's simply a regurgitation of another's words and ideas.
If the above is not bad enough: it is rife with both grammatical and spelling errors.
It's incredible what gets published these days. Overall, a sad commentary on our times...
Poorly written and factually wrong
There are lots of fascinating details about the dragons and frontiers of Wedteros, and even more that can be gleaned from indirect details given in Martin's short stories and Worlds of Ice and Fire. You won't find any of that in this book. It's just a lazy, poorly written summary Aegon's conquest and the Dance of the Dragons, followed by a summary of Daenerys' narrative in the show. Furthermore, it gets a lot of important details grossly wrong, so it's not even useful as a reference summary. It really is written like a junior high school book report. I wish I could give it negative stars.
Needs an editor
This short little booklet was written like a junior high book report. It merely summarizes information taken from other sources. There are many spelling and grammatical errors throughout.
