Publisher's Summary:
Deep in a forest glade, the fey folk dance with a young human child. Their kinship is the fabric of Isidore's childhood. But when her mother dies and her world darkens with sorrow, Isidore finds her belief in the fey folk wavering.
The love of her new step-sister, Blessing, proves an unexpected gift in her time of need. Yet even as their friendship blooms, Isidore begins to see that Blessing is everything she herself has always wanted to be, but is not. Jealousy grips Isidore as she watches this beautiful new sister steal away all she holds dear.
Driven to desperation, Isidore turns to the fey folk once more. She has only one wish to claim from them, one chance to make things right. But she must tread carefully. For wishes, like hearts, are easily broken. And obtaining the one thing she desires could mean destroying the one thing she truly needs.
Members Reviews:
Deep beautiful story
Would you listen to A Wish Made of Glass again? Why?
Yes, it is a story that you can listen to again and again. It is not overly long but it is powerful and this story is such a beautifully written, descriptive fairy tale. VERY loosely based around the story of Cinderella. Fey folk dance, wishes are made, hearts are walked upon, broken, and made new. This is also an allegory, a beautiful one. This story is magical, without there being any real "magic" as such, in it.
What did you like best about this story?
There is not a dull page in it, though the pace is not fast, it is very engaging. Emotion is beautifully expressed, and there is a lot of it in the book, I felt deeply along with the characters. I also enjoyed the sister bits in the story too. Isidore is an interesting character, her emotions are so wild, and vivid, and deep. I felt greatly for her, and with her. She grows and changes so much in a few short pages, and yet she always herself.
What about Keely Beresfords performance did you like?
The Narrators voice fitted well with the whimsical tone of the story and she read it clearly and carefully. Her voice brought out the child likeness of the characters and emotion and the wonder of the text.
If you could rename A Wish Made of Glass, what would you call it?
A Heart of Glass or Deep in the Woods
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed it all. I would highly recommend this book!
Five Stars & Five Hearts!

Review for the Audio Book:
First, this story is an amazing fantasy woven with wonder and truth. This audio version of the story is a poetic rising and swelling, rich in the cadence and tones of Keely Beresford, and the perfect match to the words which I had already read and had already captured my heart. I will reiterate with insistence and do my best to convince you, this story is where heaven, the fantastical, and reality meet. It is a new classic fairy tale that will woo you, affect you, and refresh you. It is that zephyr gliding through air that calls you to hidden things. It is A Wish Made of Glass.
Review for the general story:
Cinderella touches woven with real life feelings and drama combine with the otherworldliness of a fey world to create a most allegorical, unique and moving story. I am jarred to the core by this fairytale as I have only ever been affected by ONE other in my life.
