This whole series captivates my children and keeps them engaged

Another wonderful teaching adventure with Jack and Annie

This time we learned about the First Thanksgiving, Squanto, and Priscilla. But most importantly,we learned what community means and how Thankful we should be for all the modern day amenities we have and for our friends and family. Once again, Jack and Annie have taught us important lessons, all while sharing another great adventure with us! Now we're off to learn about Hawaii!

My 7 year old loves these books. It was perfect for a kindergarten graduation gift. I do think some of the writing is a little too mature for a kindergartener and 1st grader, but nothing I cant explain to her that she shouldn't say.

Another tree house winner!

As with all of Osborne's tree house books, there is a simple and enjoyable narrative that is creatively wound with history and moral learning. My daughter LOVES these books and it always amazes me the amount of facts she takes away. Osborne deftly hides the "learning" tidbits in with the narrative and the result is enjoyable for children and parents alike.

This is a good book for children to learn a little something from! I recommend it to kids trying to start reading bigger books!

A winner for my reluctant reader.

He's still reluctant, but there was less whining and he's quite proud about finishing his first chapter book. This series has such a wide variety of topics, it's easy to find one to go with whatever history you are working on at the moment.

Funny classic Junie B.

I think this book was written well and humorous I love it Junie B. finds out that have loose feet and being young is not so bad and having friends is great

It's become a nightly tradition

My four year old son is in love with this chapter series! A friend suggested it to us since he seemed ready for a more advanced reading material at bedtime. My husband reads him a chapter every night...sometimes more because they don't want to stop. It's become a great tradition for them, and something they both look forward to. We love that there are so many in the collection! Start with number 1 and just continue. :)

These are great books for my second grader. She knows about 90% of the words and the rest we sound out together. The stories are interesting and exciting for her without being too difficult to read.

Great first series for kids

My 5 year old was introduced to these books in his Kindergarten class and now he can't get enough of them. I am enjoying the stories as well.

Very short books in a very long series at $5 a pop!!!

My granddaughter loves this series but I was shocked at how short these books are. I will find another series to buy for her.I don't think these are worth $5 each.

kids love the adventure!

I love reading these to my daughter. she jas quite the imagination and these books really keep her interested. we share the reading...I have her read some and then I read some --keeping her engaged and improving her reading skills. If you have a child with a vivid imagination....this series is for them!

Another great Magic Tree House book

My 2nd/3rd graders thoroughly enjoyed reading this in conjunction with our study of rain forests. Of course, my students and I have not found a Magic Tree House book we don't like! We liked the way they could learn many facts about the rain forest while reading an enjoyable story. We also learned more about character traits.

The one problem is that this recording is a bit old..not digital quality. In the car it was a bit hard to hear clearly at first but...once I upped the treble...they were fine. Looking forward to getting more of these Volumes.

Anyone could have done a better job producing (reproducing?) this collection from the their neglected basement tandy 1000 computer. The varying levels of volume from voice to voice within the same scenes were kind of charming (retro i hope?). The weird tangy echo present across the board was distracting at first...but the stories were fun. Who doesnt love a good, scary fairy tale?

I loved this book and read it several times as a child. It's just one of those "nice" books. Like Little Women or Anne of Green Gables, it's not exciting, and maybe it's not a "grown up" classic, but the characters and journey of the story are worth reading. I've read Ballet Shoes once or twice as an adult and it definitely holds up. Great story and reader

This was a good one to listen to while shuttling between activities. My 12 year old daughter chose this book and I completely enjoyed it.

Magical and Memorable

I love this book, I have since I was little. After many years I decided to buy it for old times sake and I am so glad that I did! The performance is stunning and the story is as magical as ever. Oh to be a Fossil!

I just love the reading! It was so expressive and full of life. It only added to the story.

I've listened to this book so many times, and it's just a fun and light read. Not only does it take you back in time to a rough economic time in England, it brings laughs, joy, and performing arts all into the mix! This is my favorite type of novel and I absolutely adored it. Have listened to this (and the other two books on audiotape) MANY times.
