I think that this is a good book if you want to travel in New Zealand, I cannot say that this is a great guide since I read lots of books about Tourist guide but this book is a good one especially for beginners in traveling since it is easy to read and understand plus it direct to the beautiful places, hotels and much more that you would enjoy in that place, Also, author tackles the culture and their lifestyle which is great so that you can easily mixing others in the crowd.

Und er spekuliert über dessen Bewohner, wobei er noch nicht den inzwischen politisch korrekten Begriff "Samen" verwendet; er bedient sich vielmehr des damals gebräuchlichen Ausdrucks "Lappen": "Sie lebten im Schatten der Geschichte, ein Rätselfall der ethnologischen Forschung". In seinem Text zitiert Lenz mehrfach aus der "Kalevala", dem finnischen Nationalepos.

Über den Autor: Siegfried Lenz wurde 1926 geboren, er ist einer der bekanntesten deutschsprachigen Autoren der Gegenwart. Der Autor freute sich über die Wiederentdeckung des alten Textes, an den er sich nicht mehr erinnerte, und erbat sich eine Kopie.

I love this book.

I love this book. After living in San Miguel full time for the past 4 years and owning just about every book about this beautiful city I like Tom Peterson's book the best. In addition to being well written, I was surprised how much I learned about my city that I had previously been unaware of. It's a quick and informative read and I recommend it to anyone considering visiting San Miguel.

Get this guide before you go!

I searched the web and found many sources of info about San Miguel. I'm glad I found Tom Peterson's contribution to the "Greater Than a Tourist" series. Even though I only have three days to spend in San Miguel in an upcoming visit, I will use the author's suggestions to guide some of my time there. An easy read - with chapters named to guide me in directions I want to go.

Engaging Adventure

Kyle and Ashley had an amazing adventure through Europe and Thailand and through this book you experience it with them. Many fun tales and interesting views of millennials searching for meaning in life through Travel and a substantial amount of beer and wine. Often felt like I needed to exercise on their behalf after listening!

Relatable

I also was a twenty-something year old living in Denver, who got caught up in the redundancy of daily live. This book was an inspiration to leave a lifeless relationship and start creating my own happiness in a new city. Cheers to a life of living on the edge of your comfort zone and keeping things far from boring.

Another great edition from Culture Smart.

My first 'Culture Smart!' book and I was hooked. These books are clever, funny, and super informative. I read this book front to back in one sitting before my travel to Tanzania, and it was absolutely helpful (and accurate) in preparing me in the social norms. I recommend this book to anyone traveling to TZ, even if only for a week or two of tourism.

Quick, easy read. Very useful for culture and history.

I purchased this book aobut a month before my recent trip to Tanzania. The information in this book is helpful in understanding the people and their culture. The locals appreciated that we had some knowledge of the customs and history. One of the useful facts in this book, is that Tanzanians find it insulting if you hand them items with your left hand. The respectful way, is with your right hand. This was particularly useful to my husband - a lefty. He was very cognisant of using his right hand to pay, gesture, etc. It also provides a good insight into the politcal history of the region, which you will find useful when traversing the region. I highly recommend this book to anyone traveling to Tanzania or anyone interested in learning more about the country. It is a quick and easy read.

Learning about the people and culture of Tanzania before we leave for Africa next month. Very informative and well written. Just the sort of details we are interested in.

My daughter revived as a gift as she is going to be doing mission work in Tanzania for the summer. She is really enjoying book and said it is very informative and interesting without being a boring âfactâ book.

Excellent Overview of History and Customs

This is a very good, small pocket-size book, on a country we'll be visiting later this year. It has an incredible amount of information on Tanzania, especially for its size. The only reason I gave it four stars rather than five is because I bought it in used condition, and a new one would have - obviously - been better looking. I can recommend it highly enough, especially if you want a surprisingly complete overview of the country and its customs, without being overwhelmed with too much information.

It enabled me to see, feel, and do things that I didn't know I was capable of. It was a serious lesson in being with three other people, all men, in a 40 foot sailboat with very little privacy. It taught me that the weather goes on - it doesn't help to pray for it to change and is bigger than us. It was transformational in so many ways, facing death almost daily.

A good story but the performance needs editing

A great story of adventure, endurance and human relationships. The reading was pleasant to listen to, but poorly edited with many lines read twice over, mispronunciation of words and poor fiction that should have been fixed in the final edit. It's a shame because the overall content is excellent and entertaining. Great writing but the Audible quality control person must have been on holiday when they released this one.

I truly feel like I have just sailed the Pacific Ocean. I was right there with Bunny and her struggles. if you're up for an adventure then this is the book for you!

This book is spot on for the sights you need to see in Greece. The greece travel guide recommendations are excellent. This book is very helpful if you want to go to Greece. The climate in Greece is a Mediterranean type of temperate climate. Winters are mild and wet and summers are hot and dry. The west part of the country enjoys a wet Mediterranean climate, whilst the Cyclades, Dodecanese, Attica and Central Eastern lowland parts of the country enjoy a mostly dry Mediterranean climate.
