    I really enjoyed this book
I really enjoyed this book. There are lots of books about Cuenca. It was great to read about some other places in Ecuador. We are planning a trip there next summer to see if we want to retire there.
    Three Stars
    Pleas and minimalist book
    Too much misinformation
I am a little confused by this book. It's not clear if the author has lived in Ecuador or simply researched the information on Wikipedia and Trip Advisor. Some of the information is simply dead wrong. 18 hospitals in Cuenca? The rivers in Cuenca originate from the Amazon River? Never seen a river run up a mountain in Cajas National Park... Bahia and Manta have great shopping and the best beaches? Sorry, just doesn't sound like any of the cities I know from my 10 years living here. P.S. Plantains are not Bananas, even in the U.S.

    Chiang Mai Travel Guide
Includes Free Book: Muay Thai Training
"Why You Need to Train in Thailand"
Chiang Mai is one of the most fascinating cities not just in Thailand, but in the whole of Southeast Asia. Bangkok has its neon nightlife and 24/7 buzz, Pattaya and Phuket are home to some of the finest beaches in the world, but Chiang Mai is the spiritual heartland and roof of Thailand.
It is the backdoor to the Himalayas and houses all of Thailand's tallest mountains and over 300 temples: some of which list among the most impressive in the world. You might relax at the beach, but Chiang Mai is where you come to truly chill out and discover yourself.
From its walled old city, to its mountain temples, to its numerous city-wide festivals - Chiang Mai is the best place to go to see traditional Thailand at its most glorious. But this ancient tradition and history comes together to meet the modern world in Chiang Mai.
You will discover a thriving art and music scene, some of the most delicious food to be found in the entire Kingdom, and a local population that knows how to entertain guests and celebrate life.
In recent years, not only has tourism to the area grown quickly, but so has the ex-pat community, with artists, pilgrims, and travelers from the world over making Chiang Mai their new home. This means that local knowledge is not restricted to just being told in Thai anymore.
Unlike most Thailand travel guides where you are given huge swathes of information that you can't possibly use, here you will get to know just the city of Chiang Mai as a local does. Don't get caught out by tourist traps or touts, discover the best sites, tastes, beds, and entertainment, and pay the right price for them.

    OMG poor pronunciation
The narrator can't even pronounce the city name. Never mind baht, song teaw, or Muay Thai.... Horrible
    Buyer beware
This audiobook is actually the combination of a very short travel guide to Chiang Mai combined with an entirely different book about how to set up a fitness business in Thailand. There are a couple of good items in the Chiang Mai book but it's mostly the reading of lists of hotels and restaurants. Lame.
    Nice guide
It's a nice guide. Great resource for my recent trip to Chiang Mai. Found some excellent restaurants and things to do while in Chiang Mai. It's a great overview of the best areas and sights in Chiang Mai. Perfect fore your trip.
    Cool
The book is quite heavy on history, as the history of this beautiful city is fascinating. There's plenty of background information, loads of photos, and a ton of links. The book is not only a guide book, its a tribute to the people and history of this outstanding city.
    Ideal
The Chiang Mai travel guide is ideal for a foreigner and anyone visiting this culturally rich city. This guide explains everything you need to know for eating, shopping, dining, etc. It was very helpful and informative.

    Format: Unabridged
Length: 3 hrs and 5 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 04-06-16

Genres: Travel & Adventure, Adventure & Exploration
    Publisher's Summary:
    Sometimes you have to jump.
After researching through blogs, books and YouTube, Rebecca grabs a pack to join one. Initially, the author sought to write this book for those who would not be able to walk, describing the terrain and the villages, but what starts out like a guided tour, quickly turns into an adventure, as walking alone often does.
Hear about how the Camino changes a light-hearted traveler into a soul searching pilgrim. Neverlost4good does get lost, often misplacing her poles and pack while learning how to manage the trail. Every story from the Camino de Santiago is different, because it is never the same walk for anyone. This book includes photos from the trail, interesting alternatives in completing the journey and humorous situations. Enjoy the book, and don't be surprised to find yourself looking into traveling to Spain yourself one day.
Warning: this walk will change your life!

    Fear Leads to Insight
For much of this book, it felt hesitant and fearful and rushed. However, it WAS the story of one person's journey......That was what I was looking for when I purchased this book.
In the end, especially in light of the fear, I really appreciated the honest insights shared. I hope the author does the Camino again and shares the different experience I suspect she will have. I will look for and buy her new book:)!
Nothing here. Don't waste your money.
This book is not worth the $1.99 discount price I paid for it. The author provides zero insight into her life or experience in what is supposed to be a memoir. It's simply a series of short trivial stories about her challenges in sending her backpack by car each day, instead of carrying it, the annoying people she met on the way, and other trivial negativities.
She provides no real information about who she is and how she came to decide to spend this time walking across Spain by herself. We learn almost nothing about any people she met along the way. There is no element of personal growth. She's little more than an anonymous narrator sounding like a spoiled, sheltered, pampered princess with little curiosity about herself or the world around her.
To make it worse, while I'm not a fluent Spanish speaker, I do know that many of the place names were mispronounced.
    I shall walk someday!
Rebecca's story was filled with great tips, exposed emotions, and a curiosity with a purpose. We all long for the same things and funny how food, wine and walking being you to your happy place. Her voice during the story is peaceful and powerful. I truly enjoyed her story.

    Title: Sidewalking
Subtitle: Coming to Terms with Los Angeles
    Author: David Ulin
    Narrator: LJ Ganser
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 4 hrs and 59 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 04-01-16
    Publisher: Audible Studios
Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 17 votes
Genres: Travel & Adventure, Adventure & Exploration
    Publisher's Summary:
In Sidewalking, David L. Ulin offers a compelling inquiry into the evolving landscape of Los Angeles. Part personal narrative, part investigation of the city as both idea and environment, Sidewalking is many things: a discussion of Los Angeles as urban space, a history of the city's built environment, a meditation on the author's relationship to the city, and a rumination on the art of urban walking. Exploring Los Angeles through the soles of his feet, Ulin gets at the experience of its street life, drawing from urban theory, pop culture, and literature.
For listeners interested in the culture of Los Angeles, this book offers a pointed look beneath the surface in order to see, and engage with, the city on its own terms.

    Hard-to-follow rambling
As a new Angeleno, I really wanted and tried to like this book. I couldnt. Its awful, theres absolutely no story line, no logical succession, its endless rambling, impossible to follow or hold your attention for more than two minutes. While many good points were made, the senseless babble around them made this boon unlistenable.
Go read an article about LA or public transportation, it will surely be more coherent and informative.
    Good background on LA
I read this when I first moved to LA to get some insight into the history and landmarks of the city - and it definitely delivered. I found the author's writing style to be a bit rambling for my taste.
